I don't have animosity about it.

Things I like to hear more than I'm pretty: There is cake. You're taking lead on this project. We've accepted your story for publication. I brought you coffee. Wait this list is actually impossibly long....
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! I thought we could have opinions on what we like to see in genres we enjoy! My mistake, clearly. Please do go on.
Oh, Amanda Palmer....
If people don't accidentally think you're a white dude, you have failed. Also, you have a unique voice representing your background that likely speaks to many people. But mostly the first one.
I've heard this argument before! That we've all been duped into thinking we're unsafe and we're not really that bad off, really the same as guys. We're just looking for something to complain about. It flabbergasts me and I have no idea how to respond.
Gamer Gate can't explicitly do anything. It's not a person and it doesn't have a leader. Unfortunately the beginning of Gamer Gate can't be traced to anything except the harassment of women. That's where it began and that what it continues to do, so I think it needs to go away before we can have a real discussion…
If that's what she needs to do to be brave in the face of death threats, go her.
This is absurd. This is completely ridiculous. Please stop being assholes.
Oh sure. You know how it is? It's like playing catch. Only one person can have the ball at one time and sex is nothing more than the frantic attempt to pass passion back and forth until one of you climaxes and you can go home and watch Sons of Anarchy.
Dear Single Women,
It always struck me as weird that 'baby comes out of the tummy' is fine, because...it's a lie? I'm not sure. I think our culture often conflates ignorance and innocence and deifies innocence.
She seems so weirdly overjoyed that the characters (supposedly) aren't interested in race. Oh how lovely! A racial character who doesn't make me feel all squishy about that race nonsense. Quite so! Bizarre.
I...I don't hate it. I've been to a lot of graduate shows and...you know I can see the thought here. I kind of applaud her doing her thing. I mean, you guys know she doesn't have to be ordained by the President of Art to be an artist, right?
I don't think you can just switch comedy and religion and make a relevant point.... Also yeah, things that are funny or offensive change between cultures. Pro comedians have to sensitive to that and change their jokes when traveling. Smart comedians don't just choose 12 jokes and tell those regardless of audience.
Yes it would be exhausting. Being a good person is hard. Comedy is hard. You can tell pirate jokes all you want, but a basically intelligent person should understand that when you tell a joke about a sensitive subject you accept higher risk that the joke will fail or that you will insult someone. If you don't…
Again, questioning his motives and not the objective hilarity of calling it a rape room. Freedom away! I contend, however, that even if a joke is funny, being a member of civilized society should involve apologizing if it hurts someone.
Yesssss! And some of them won't accept university studies because liberals.
eh...I dunno...pretty sure calling something the wrong name stopped being funny when I was like...10.
