Nope, at least not “regular” that I would know of.

Why are the balls black, instead of white?
Very rarely are the large supercomputers run in single-user mode (1 computation utilizing all of the nodes). Typically there’s dozens, if not hundreds of jobs running on different number of nodes. The petaflop scale machine I work with has only been fully utilized by a single user a few times. We call that a “hero…
Oh, bullshit. For every instance that you could argue for some sort of nominal economic benefit, there are a hundred cases of economic devastation caused by invasive species.
Oh its beautiful!! But... you should have gotten the diamond... It was cheaper!

There are no GMO strawberries. There is next to no chance you ever ate a GMO tomato as it was on the market for about 3 season, had little uptake and was used mostly for bulk product (tomato and pizza sauce). Unless you eat papaya or summer squash you most likely never even directly consumed a GMO fruit, vegetable or…
Really well done article. As someone with a degree in Entomology, and a background in GMO/Pest Control, it really bothers me when I see people go off the rails, with little to no understanding of the topic. It astonishes me how ill-informed people are, yet still insist on opening their mouths.
I remember when I had appendicitis. I wanted to call in sick to work to go see a doctor, but my wife told me to stop being a little bitch, suck it up and drink to Pepto. I’m not an engineer, but I’ve experienced what the desert heat does to car batteries. Without some form of integrated cooling system, I see a lot of warranty replacements in Tesla’s…
I’m not sure that makes it better.
There are so many good techniqes - I have done electroporation, nucleofection, microinjection, calcium phosphate and eighteen flavors of lipid transfection - it is always fun discussing another one.

That is a lot of words just to say that the first two letters were already taken which was my understanding initially. Nice bit of history though, thanks.
When I first saw these, I was really intrigued. And I was in the market for a new set of monitors too, so I actually considered one. However, I think there are some personal preference things that might make me weird:
it's real scientific equipment, but not really used in a scientific way - these guys just seen to crank sensitivity until they pick up odd artifacts and interference.
You might be being sarcastic, but there are people who actually make strange connections like that. Just because something can be made to react in a surprising way or can be used for something non-eating-related doesn't mean it's bad for you. I swear someone could make a video of themselves burning dried fruit and…
