Yes, I heard. :)
Yes, I heard. :)
I’ve been looking forward to the tell-all books since the earliest days of his “administration” (lol!)...
The larger Taycan pack is more like 94kWh actually, so even less of a difference for all intents and purposes. But it’s just marketing bullshit the guy’s slinging. Nothing we should pay attention to.
Not sure who you’ve been listening to saying any of this crap, honestly. Sorry, but it’s true. The Taycan is selling extremely well, Porsche bumped production quota significantly before even launching the vehicle because of high pre-order volumes, then bumped it significantly again soon after launch, once more because…
Holy crab, that’s the most awesome Taycan test drive I’ve seen so far, my hands are fukin sweating right now just from watching him drive in a youtube video. lol
It’s a fucking gorgeous car, I wish I could afford one! Alas!
There’s actually some decent overlap between the S and the Taycan - they both seat up to 5 adults, although the middle rear seat of the Taycan isn’t very good in comparison honestly due to the large battery tunnel and overall less cabin space available. Which is why the 5th seat is optional, I suspect. :P
The Taycan is a big car (5m long), and it has a very stiff chassis since it’s a sports car, so it’s a heavy vehicle for sure with that battery pack. It does charge really fast though, it has a theoretical cap of 275kW IIRC but usually don’t quite reach that even on an 800V fast charger. It still charges faster in kWs…
I’m imagining two of those weird-ass giant, faceless white robots from Westworld’s 2nd season doing the delivery... :P
Don’t tell her. She’s gonna think you’re weird/old. :)
I think there’s a rear-wheel only drive version of the Taycan in the cards too.
Tesla will def. be around in 5 years though. They’ve only just started, really. Even Goldman Sachs agrees here. :P
Every single person I’ve seen reviewing the Taycan says it beats the living shit out of any Tesla, driving-wise and quality-wise. It also looks way cooler, if you ask me! :P
How would two vehicles with the same MPG release different amounts of carbon? I’d say that’s not possible, unless one of the cars has a faulty engine that doesn’t combust all of its available fuel (which would be even worse from an environmental standpoint, but that’s a different can of worms...)
It’s not that EPA tests are friendlier to Tesla vehicles than any other electric cars, it’s that Tesla, being the first serious manufacturer of EVs, have taken the time and effort to seriously optimize its vehicles and drivetrain for efficiency. Tesla has wrung a few percent more range out of its vehicles each year…
Yes this is correct, Porsche has a sizeable hard cap on the capacity of its battery pack, Tesla reserves only a few percent (but recommends you use the built-in optional soft cap during everyday driving, unless you really need max range.)
Yes, that’s really sub-optimal gameplay. Even warlords had a pretty decent storyline for most of the zones, and when you outlevel an entire expansion in just one zone then there’s no way you’re going to get to enjoy that.
It works on Legion reps too? Well that’s interesting!
Usually I’m not a fan of these mess-with-the-animations clips, but this one killed me pretty good - even though I didn’t even want it to. I wanted to be annoyed with it, but I nearly died laughing.
When you hear him say shit like that, you come to realize that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Think of all the insane crazyness he must be saying behind closed doors, which you never even hear about because there wasn’t a news camera and mic around to document it.
