I’m about to order parts to do the brakes on my wife’s ‘06 SLK. Pads, rotors, brake hoses with shipping is about $400. Figure my time is worth another...I dunno...200 bucks?

When it’s clean, and in the sun with the top up, and you squint really hard, it looks like an SLR.

Her husband got a similarly shitty loan, so what’s his excuse?

I want an electric vehicle. As was described in an earlier article published here, I’m one of those people that won’t give Apartheid nepo-baby Elon a penny. I think buying a US made PHEV is the best option now and I have been shopping for one. This is because of the Biden tax breaks and because the charging

ironically enough those same people are not inclined to buy electric cars.

Well, here’s that $30k Tesla they promised us years ago...

I now want some mad lad to LS swap a Cybertruck.

Absolutely a leadership issue. But also, everything about this Truck reeks of “Just get it out there, I don’t care anymore!” desperation.

But the Lexus CT wasn’t that bad...

anyone who willingly bought a cybertruck after knowing everything about Elon and Tesla honestly deserves to have their trucks bricked lol

Everything I read about this makes me feel like it’s a repeat of the DeLorean in the 80s. Terrible quality doomed the car, even though it was cool...and then there was the whole John/coke thing...which I suspect is similar to Elon’s arc.

At least your truck “looks like the future” ... on a tow truck.

I have a niece. She has an undergrad degree in microbiology, an MD, and a string of letters after her name indicating all the research and schooling she’s completed. She’s a critical-care pediatric intensivist. She treats the sickest of the sick kids; including kids with severe COVID, during the pandemic.

This story is emblematic how so many people in this country love freedom for themselves, but then refuse to grant that same freedom to others. I am sure he cited ‘freedom’ as a reason not to get vaccinated. But then here he denies this other person freedom to wear a mask.

Wish they could make a tiny version of this like the i3, and cheaper

That is a torque table, not a curve. Just a plateau.

Cops seem to have a hard on for sovereign citizen loonies, which I heartily approve of. I just wish they had similar hard ons for Nazis, Proud Boys, MAGA degens, and others of their ilk. Guess that’s tricky though considering so many of their fellow cops are sympathizers of these groups, if not actual members.

I mean, “Youtuber” isn’t a real job or qualification or anything

Kind of shocked people are so quick to defend Fisker, dude should stick to drawing cars didn’t he kill the last company with his name? The Karmas were garbage.

There’s a lot of minutia that can go into a car review. Compared to some other reviewers, Brownlee’s reviews feel like very good quality summaries. They’re definitely not be-all-end-all, final word sorts of affairs.

Apparently the engineers and executives at Fisker have never heard of the Streisand Effect.
