I read that a little differently. There's definitely defiance there, but Cersei has always overestimated her strength. I genuinely don't think she understands even half of what she's going to have to fight against after this.

Oh I totally agree—what I meant was when even CERSEI realizes that they're falling apart. Because she doesn't yet.
Bran is going to be what breaks the magic. Because he was touched by the Night King, the magic of the cave was broken and I think the same will go for the Wall.
The Lannisters are going to fall apart spectacularly next season and I'm going to be cheering the entire time.
I only take issue with the way that people on the internet are acting as though Jon making mistakes precludes Sansa making mistakes, or the other way around. They both did some not-very-smart things due to their respective traumas, which I think as about as human as it gets.
It’s a metaphor? For the trauma she’s endured??? I can’t believe that so many people still believe this theory.
The Greyjoys have always had more bark than bite, though.
It's not like the army arrived out of nowhere, though. It was set up and telegraphed through the entire season.
So Sansa in the space of about four seasons has turned into a machiavellian mastermind and brilliant military strategist.
Huh? Jon is *always* that dumb. His entire M.O. is that he's dumb, noble, and a good warrior.
Well said. At this point, things that have been set up by the narrative SHOULD happen. Twists on twists on twists would be tremendously unsatisfying.
I'm so baffled. This divide is pretty much universal across the Internet.
But we saw Littlefinger quite close to the Wall just 2 episodes ago, I believe. So they *were* close by.
I hope you're right about Sansa. It certainly makes sense, I just hope they make her motivation clearer in the next episode.
That's certainly an argument that Sansa can (and should) make!
Yeah, that was weird! I totally thought she was going to tell him in that moment because it was perfectly set up for that but then…nothing. Very strange.
I agree. Sansa doesn't always make wise decisions, but she's not dumb enough to think that Littlefinger would come North to help without expecting something in return.
Yeah, Cat is by far the brightest and bravest of her siblings and, errrr…
Oooh yeah. Good call.
Agreed.
