The Cutest One Here

This is actually something I've been curious about. I figured there were big bucks involved to bring a game to that many people for "free", but I didn't think it was that much.

It’s simplistic but probably would be closer to the truth than you think. A good project lead who knows how to coordinate multiple different teams and handle competing desires on a single project is often invaluable and Kaplan was definitely one of those from all accounts.

There’s a big difference between removing one character and losing access to more than a third of the roster.

Jeff Gerstman and Ben Pack is the greatest story of unrequited love of the modern era.

For me, it’s the ability to create every US president.

I love seeing the outcomes of these wild character creators but 90% of the time I get a little overwhelmed by the options. I still love the elegant simplicity of the original Phantasy Star Online character creator.

Lol I was kicked out of fb with no explanation, I’ve lost a lifetimes worth if photos and friends, I can’t find anywhere to report it, I asked for a review a month ago..I can't even make a new account, cos my phone number is already recognized..no shit! It's mine! Ffs!

Oh yesss. I hope this is where the future is leading to for us for Dragon’s Dogma 2.

This is so very, very deliciously funny. I mean, in a way it does suck for the people who are being directed to work on this thing. But for management and above, who are quite literally the ones doing the writing on the wall but apparently dead-set against reading it themselves - well, from back here, well enough away

Well, it’s pretty hard to make any game stick when you have a boss shouting about monetization, micro transactions, and now also crypto and NFTs constantly and without rest, fanatic and extreme enough to the point of selling out a bunch of classic brand defining franchises to a 3rd party so they could focus even more

this is wild and awful but also feels perfect. what else could bethesda have done besides charge twenty usd over the base price to make the game significantly worse. the world has been set in order.

my favorite response to a comment in a long time

Props to the guy for commiting to this just to prove a redditor wrong, lol.

we are starting this week with a shit ton of cool stuff executed behind a barn, aren’t we?

So Jeff Gerstmann’s baby (the wiki, not Giant Bomb) gets folded into Wikia/Fandom. What an ignoble end, I guess.

I automatically click the non-Fandom wiki page if available.

I’m probably not alone in thinking Fandom is the worst wiki site out there. What’s worse is that there are a lot of independent wikis out there that have a competing Fandom wiki. The Fandom ones are usually top on search engine results. :/

This makes me real nervous for the Giant Bomb folks. They’ve been trying real hard to keep that place going after all the old guard left, and as a fan, I think they’ve actually been crushing it. I can’t imagine the uncertainty of another sale right now.

Here’s hoping Google not only sees your logic but cares enough to allow it to happen (ie. they care enough to allow developers to port their games over or perhaps they even send them back their source discs if they held on to any)
