The Cutest One Here

We’ve seen it elsewhere, the live-service era has made some people assume every game will be updated with content for all time and have endless content to experience.

Apologies, I mean he hits on them. One moment that springs to mind is him telling a teenager that “sixteen is old enough” while on-stream, live for the world to see.

This is someone who on multiple occasions had made reference to sexual intercourse while talking to minors. I’m sorry if I’m not feeling much sympathy for people being “mean” to him on the internet.

Someone else mentioned he did an episode with Ben which I want to seek out because I always thought they had a great rapport. If it’s mostly him, I think I’d agree with you that it’s to be avoided. The late-stage Bombcast episodes becoming just Jeff talking with the others occasionally getting a noise of agreement in

Hypothetically if they were to be ported elsewhere, my assumption is that even if Alphabet remembered it had exclusivity contracts with these games it wouldn’t try to enforce them. If it’s not worth paying to keep the service going, why pay lawyers to sue people over “assets” from it?

Remember when Google said ISPs would remove data caps in response to consumers wanting more access to internet for streaming? Good times.

If we feel like singling out specific games rather than “video games” as a whole, I very much doubt anyone is going into DOTA 2 feeling raunchy. I PRAY I am correct.

“Referring to Project Dagger, its next action-adventure two years into development, it goes on to describe a potentially messy situation where the two parties will now negotiate how Take-Two will recoup its investment.”

He managed to get banned from League of Legends of all games for using hate speech, and then made a video about how he was the victim in the situation. That sure sounds controversial to me even before you consider he has no qualifications to start a publishing house.

Which returns me to my point: why not just give them the money? You said it’s not sustainable but then offered that as what he would bring to the table - why does he need to involve himself as some kind of co-partner in it?

Meanwhile I don’t see how he has any ability to “help” anybody. What experience or knowledge does being a Youtuber give you that qualifies you to “help” people make games?

If this came off more as “I want cool art to exist” and less “I know what’s best for this medium” then I’d be all for it. As it stands, even if he wasn’t someone with such a whack history on the platform (up to and including dismissing entire genres of games as being inherently bad) it sounds like an ego trip to me.

“I’m sick of sitting on the sidelines waiting for great games to appear,’ the YouTuber said. ‘Now I want to get in there and help make it happen.’

My only beef with this is that guy’s assertion that Call of Duty is a fun arena shooter”. CoD is what killed arena shooters, it isn’t one to begin with. WORDS MEAN THINGS.

We’re starting to see the Series X arrive on shelves and stay there for longer than a day but the S has been readily available in stores for months now. I wanted to wait for an X but decided I was fine getting an S to tide me over until the X was both in good supply and potentially on sale.

I would have assumed this was another case of Nintendo’s response being “connection’s pretty good here in Japan, losers” but some of these replies I’m seeing suggest it’s also not a great experience over there either? That’s crazy. That feels like something you’d have to go out of your way to make happen.

Curious if anyone knows: the “pay how you want” sliders for the charity, publisher, and HB let you set the publisher’s take to $0. Any insight into if that’s legit? Always found it interesting.

The bit where he groups himself with a white supremacist hangout and a child pornography hosting website in a tone like they’re three heroes met with immense tyranny is...

To that aside, it *might* be a result of me being on the younger side (sorta, suppose it depends on one’s POV) but having always been so interested in the history of what I missed out on even when I was a kid. It’s also that unfortunate situation of everybody around my age getting nostalgic (or just plain curious)

Hadn’t heard that about CloudFlare but it’s hardly surprising, shitty people are gonna make shitty self-serving decisions.
