Admittedly I do find the mental image of generals having to sift through mobile game-style ads before they can launch artillery very funny.

Maybe some but I’ve seen Bandersnatch and Minecraft show up in our scrolling on the other apps.
The primary place my family watches Netflix is on a Roku device, not a game console. Hard to think about controlling games on one of those little remotes, lest it summon memories of that weird era when movies on DVD came with similar features.
As long as you wait until it’s done to release it, rather than giving updates along the way, they can’t stop you. Shigeru can only shake his fist at the sky and shout “modderrrrrrsssss!” in impotent rage.
The ability to enjoy this medium is going to get really crummy with Sony owning almost all of its western distribution channels like this. Even worse if they’re going to pull shitty moves like this to get rid of the few safe/reliable ways to buy what isn’t in the direct mainstream .-.
God dammit why does Square Enix do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. Who at that company thinks this looks better?
“Bisexual Pokémon fans however, were completely unfazed.”
Someone was commenting that (over and over again I might add) on the Eurogamer report about this and if it’s the case that is quite the fumble. Insomniac was still independent at that time so to think MS could have had that game for their own and passed is pretty tragic. I know more than one person who bought a PS4…
This is the guy who filmed a child in a public bathroom, I’m fairly certain his “rep” is bulletproof at this point.
I don’t appreciate being called pretentious for the way I care about this medium, especially after explaining why I feel I do. I’ll say again: if remakes of things are going to continue being little more than graphical updates rather than genuine design advancements, then the originals should always be available…
As with any other art form I consider games to be representative of their culture’s place in time. Remakes that let you switch to the original visuals are nice but they usually wind up ditching the front end and the older way menus and glossaries were visualized. You may not consider the top and sub menus of Halo…
The original versions of the games should always be available, and if people haven’t gotten around to playing those games they should. Remakes are not a replacement for the original works.
Literally.
Oh I just mean in general. The industry has literally 4,543 remakes in the works now (oddly enough almost all of which centering on games from the sixth gen and early seventh, hrm, hrm) and I couldn’t be more sick of hearing new ones constantly be announced. It bums me out that large-budget games didn’t get that long…
Hoooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww about a neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww game then? Instead of wasting time and money remaking things we can just play because they already exist? You silly geese.
Cunts, absolute cunts, every single crypto scumbag.
Give me a fixed camera Resident Evil again, please Capcom. That setup made the Spencer Mansion and RCPD feel so real.
“Also, getting out of a medieval fantasy allows you to roleplay with closer parity to a reality we know and live in. It gets rid of the compulsion to speak in funny accents, use antiquated language, or get into useless bickering over what technology or concepts existed in nebulous, pseudo-historical…
It bums me out that this exists because I was trying to plot out a piece about this very topic, BUT I’m glad that it exists because it means more people are discussing it.
Take pity on us. Many of us are trying to make it better but we’re surrounded by absolute scum who don’t want it so.
