A .50 BMG (in the Barrett) and a .50 AE (in the Desert Eagle) are very different. The round you shot with the Barrett carries about 9x the energy of the pistol round. That rifle round would make it through 7 or 8 reams of paper.

Just to be crystal clear, there are HUGE gigantic differences in .50 cal rounds. The pistol cartridge (.50 Action Express) used in the gun here is not designed or used to shoot through concrete walls and lightly armored vehicles. That is the .50 BMG. Granted as you point out that doesn’t generally matter from that…
