I get that this is deadspin and we’re *supposed* to show no empathy here (and I have never been a fan of this guy), but now we’re talking about a Dad worried for his son’s life. Pretty heavy stuff. I hope he gets the help he needs and finds something meaningful in his life other than whatever it is he’s addicted to.

Same here. I still deal with everything I put my family through. It’s family, they want to help, but don’t understand their “help” may actually be hurting.

Even if they are all assholes I still feel sympathy for this family watching someone you love slowly die. You’re completely right though it’s going to take them wanting to get right.

As a former addict I can say his father saying these things that go public is not helping him. All his friends saying things isn’t going to help.
