But he’s still not accepted by the gang, or his dad (juries still out on God, but my gut probably leans no on that one.) Hell, that’s been the entire joke about Mac since the beginning: the Gang doesn’t hate him because he’s religious, or closeted, or full-out gay. They hate him because he’s fucking Mac, and he really

And Mac is a piece of shit too, let us not forget. But I feel like this episode (and, hell, the last couple episodes of the show in general) starred a character who only vaguely resembled Mac. The way he acted and behaved here just didn’t reflect on anything we know about him as a character to this point. And if Sunny

Iinteresting to note that of the two episodes credited to Megan Ganz, both end with an oddly touching moment of friendship and kindness within the gang. And both, I would argue, don’t really work.

...perhaps the closest narrative representation of a bottle episode since that time they got taken hostage, as Dee signs them all up for a team-building escape room exercise.”

Yeah, but his Southern dandy is even better:

I feel like Neville's arc didn't need to end with the snake. He could have done something else during the battle that turned the tide. Or, hell, there's seven horcruxes. Could have thrown him the diadim or something instead.

Let’s not even bring up the inherent bias and cruelty of giving the students “points” in order to win the House Cup. Points that can be randomly given by any teacher for any reason, like “courage” or some shit. And of course said teacher can just decide to reward the points days after the initial act, RIGHT BEFORE the

I think Rowling’s attempt at that concept was in the form of Snape, but the fact he’s the only one given any emotional depth of the Slytherins kind of muddled the point.

I don’t think Jimmy really had to explain what a lawyer is to the man who owned the copier business. He knows all too well...

It DOES mean something — it means that Jimmy-Saul-Gene is living a life of extreme paranoia, and constantly in fear that people might be after him. The consequences of that fear will indeed grow into the endgame for the character on a thematic level, but not necessarily a plot one.

She calls him "Usain Bolt" as he leaves too, so it seems pretty clear to me to be a speed issue. Then again, it may just be the AV Club of sex...a.k.a two things.

As one of the five people in the world who saw American Ultra...uh, American Ultra I guess?

Not a horror movie, but I’ve long argued that The World’s End was a funnier, more insightful film before the sci-fi angle clicked in, and arguably failed to find a balance between the two threads. It ended up feeling like two completely different movies roughly smashed together.

From the outside looking in, it probably seems that way. But who knows how tooth and nail O’Neal fought to publish the pieces he did in the past year. Even if he won the argument the majority of the time, constantly having your every action over-evaluated and broken down can get exhausting.

I actually think Deadpool 2 is a better movie, because it actually takes time to tell a fulfilling story with a theme, and a purpose. Deadpool was just one long action scene with a boilerplate origin story thrown on top. Entertaining enough, but empty on ownit's own.

Also, early 2000's Hardwick is practically a different person than modern Hardwick. Ultimate power corrupts, and all that. Either way, unclear why "past experience from a decade ago with a completely different person" counts as pure evidence to Hardwick's innocence. Do people have to be assholes 24/7, 100% of their

Damn, legitimately didn’t hear about this. Thanks for the link. For what it’s worth, Kaminsky took responsible for his actions and actually issued an apology, which is more than we can say about Hardwick. But yeah,I should learn my lesson about calling anyone anywhere in the world of entertainment "upstanding." Fuck

Eh, it doensn’t have to necessarily imply Hardwick. Talking Dead (baffingly) has a ton of producers, and it could have been any one of them that Yvette Nicole Brown has a past working relationship with, and thus is willing to help out. After all, someone must have been the first party to invite her on the show, and

But the sources you posted are also former partners of Hardwick, so why are former lovers of one partner more of a source than current lovers of another? They’re all tangled up in bullshit, IMHO. And I posted twice because two separate people asked twice, and I doubt people would return to this thread unless they got

...they were so proud of themselves for making a genre mashup that they didn’t bother to actually have any sort of ambition when it came time to write the script.”
