Buying used has been the norm since pre 2007 / cheap money days. Buying a new car was a luxury and special occasion, as it should be. People only got used to new cars due to cheap financing, incentive programs (cash for clunkers), lease wizardy, that was spurred after the whole auto industry/detroit bailout /recession

There are less than 3-4000 giulia quads in the US across all MY. So pretty rare to see one also.

Alfa gets a lot of undeserved flak here for reliability, but the giulia and stelvio have no major issues to speak of, unlike BMW rod bearing failures, S55 crankhub issues, subframe issues, GM LT4 engines randomly blowing up, toyota tundra motors failing due to debris, etc etc.. most Alfa issues are electrical and due

Seems like theres a trend with people not wanting new cars and all the techno-fluff that they come with, and just wanting a new, old car. They just like a particular model or had a good experience with one, and just want a another one thats like new, yet cheaper than whatevers currently on sale. Also probably easier

This is because they changed the philosophy of the supra into something it never was. The supra has historically been a 2+2 GT car with some handling chops. Now its more of a 2 seat roadster with even less usability and less appeal. The supra should be more an M4 than a Z4. Appreciate what they tried to do, but I dont

Reason why it sold well: the i8 gave you supercar/exotic like looks with lease payments that could be afforded by most young guys with a decent job. I’m sure performance wasnt necessarily at the top of their priority list..Gotta give BMW some credit for putting something like this in production though.

The 2JZ could make close to 1khp without even opening up the block.  The record is probably even higher.  Not sure how long they lasted though.

Surprised nobody mentioned the obvious... Evo X MR.  Great car with modding potential.

Yo dawg, i heard you like lights....

One word that comes to mind when thinking of Aston is outdated. The cars are beautiful, but dont really compete. Aston can’t even touch Ferrari right now. They need to build/restore their image from being outdated, unreliable British cars by winning comparos and races. I dont recall an Aston ever winning a comparo

In this sentence, it sounds like the EM1 has the superior driving experience and not the 2018:

Does it feel strange to drive a car dressed up so garishly, wing, body kit and all, yet it gets drug by a camry and various crossovers?

Not trying to take anything away from her win, but wouldn’t she have a significant weight advantage over most men in the field? Or is that negated somehow?

Clickbaity headline. Theres always going to be cases where a slower car beats a faster car due to any number of factors.

At first I thought it was just a bad body kit or kit car. But it actually looks pretty cool.

One problem - shitty lease deals. Case in point - I’ve always been an american car buy and was looking for a sports sedan which could haul the family if needed. My top option was an ATS-V. I go to the dealer close to me and check out the ONLY ATS-V which they had in stock, MSRP was ~70k. Even though I bought a Camaro

Hate to say it, but there are several problems with this:

911R isn’t exactly the best car in a straight line to compare against - 500 N/A hp via RWD? the Tesla is AWD also, comparing against a GT-R or something would be a lot closer.

I think its acceptable to wear them at automative events, but outside of that you look like a tool whether you own the car or not. Aftermarket brands/companies are OK though.

I had a 2016 NX200t with NAV and man, that infotainment system was terrible! It was way worse than the myLink in my 2013 Camaro. It was so slow and clunky to use. Sad, especially when you pay that much for a luxury car.
