I never understood why some people insist that cast iron be treated to delicately. It’s used to make engine blocks, and machine tools. It’s fantastically tough stuff. As long as the last two steps are “dry it and oil it,” you can get away with quite a bit.

There is no place for the traitor flag anywhere in the US.

Meanwhile at Subaru

This is why we can’t have nice things.

I should not have been drinking water when I read your comment.  I nearly drowned myself by laughing so hard.

Remember the Honda Prelude? Millennials won’t

When Nissan send their cars, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending cars that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing CVT. They’re bringing mediocrity. They’re Rogues. And none, I assume, are good cars.

Neutral: For personal vehicles, never. Lawsuits will kill it all.

Firstly congrats! It feels expensive but at the end of the loan you own your house outright. Then you’ll realize all that money (minus interest) you paid toward your mortgage was actually going right back into your pocket. Along with improvements, that is sounds like you are doing, it is amazing how good an investment

Over 15 years ago I had two daily drivers, a RX7 convertible and a BMW R100/7 motorcycle with a Jupiter (USSR) sidecar. It turns out that the sidecar rig with one saddlebag, a tail trunk and the storage space behind the seat could carry more than the RX7 convertible trunk.

Being in snow country I am holding out for a Dnepr

Do it!  I have wanted one for several years now. My kids are approaching the agar where they can ride with me and I think it would be a blast!  I fully plan on daily riding it, even in the winter months.

Hell, my wife won’t even RIDE in my Franken7. For all practical purposes you need to consider it a big motorcycle. I DD’d mine for years until Orange County happened alongside the size wars and it became too nerve wracking to commute before dawn.

Ural!!!!! Go with the Ural!!! Those things are a hoot!

Dang! They were .3psi off the manufacturer minimum. Perhaps should have used the official BMW digital pressure gauge.

It’s spelled Camaro

The TSX wagon looked SO good.

I don’t see how there’s any argument that it’s not a wagon. It’s literally a Legacy with a roof over its trunk, then they add a couple inches of ride height. Is it the body or the ground clearance that makes the difference between vehicle types? If it’s body, it’s 100% a wagon.

It’s a 3/4 inch lift. Frankly, I wouldn’t want ours any lower. Still sexy in my eyes.

I think BMW said 3-4% of total 3-series production is wagons. :(
