If anything one very similar. But again the Rub is that NASA would have questioned the Russians with "Hey is this one over your rovers?" I would have to think?

That makes me wonder what it would be like to shoot a canon out of a hot air balloon, Newtons laws and all...
Very good question and something much more interesting than an ASH hole... :)
Yes, much more interesting that some ASH hole LOL
And surely that knowledge has not been lost, I see the steam hobbyists at the local fair every year.
Too bad not more of us are interested in finding out what that is! I believe it is a a lander/rover of some sort, from where...who knows. Might be a primitive Soviet era lunar machine...or something else entirely. All I know is it is not just a pile of rocks!
STEAM??? COAL??? We had a lot of tech before electricity...Surely they could have made this more Steampunk.
I just don't think it will be viable any time soon, maybe with quantum computing but not with what we have now. And I am not one to stick my head in the sand and where I work I am privy to be on the cutting edge of visualization and lots of other goodies. As it stands right now if it were possible I wouldn't.
So you are saying it is inevitable? I think we can find another path.
That would be my question exactly seem counter-intuitive.
That is what NFL, American Idol, and the Voice are for... :)
I was 18 and living with my Aunt and Uncle so I am trying to remember, I just remember emailing and some what of the user interface, and exchanging programs on an IBM clone. I am more than positive my Uncle was on the sci-fi forum. I basically cut my teeth on that computer (blew up a $2K hard drive too UGH my Uncle…
When I first began to read Gibson in the late 80's early 90's I was also one of the first with a personal computer "Online" with CompuServe. With all the potential I could see with exchanges of information, back then if you would have asked me the answer would have been hell yes! I wanted to be part of that digital…
WOW Really Esther you have not read at least one Gibson book? I would say you are missing out an great sub genre of sci-fi, that has had a huge influence on our media (The Matrix) and culture (cyber-anything).
It's funny at the street fair today was the Society of reason booths caught it on the way out otherwise I might have stopped in see what they were like.
ok fine as long as you don't want any money or a ride downtown...ok? lol
I will keep an open mind to meeting more and be proven wrong.
I put to me in my answer because that is indeed my experience, but to me saying being an atheist is an extreme. Agnostics at least entertain the possibility until more proof has been shown.
