This is accurate. Cats are immune to fall damage, which is a pretty OP passive. I’d also like to point out that PETA stated that she’s “using the platform to post animal abuse”, which is pretty terrible wording. Was the animal mistreated? Sure, but I don’t fully agree with this being animal “abuse”. She picked it up…

Translation aside, I find anyone who is frantically screaming and pointing at a sealed and semi-submerged, motor powered craft from their own motor powered craft, to be hilarious. Get that man a megaphone or tell him to save his breath, sounded like he might have an aneurism.

True about the tourist tax though it wouldn’t be that much and it would go towards upkeep of the city and to help locals stay in the city. There is already a few euro tax per night, paid at your hotel/Airbnb, but I think they were talking about it being mandatory for any visitor to the city, even day trippers.

It’s heartbreaking how magnificent and unique a city it is, yet also how absolutely overrun with tourists (and void of actual residents and culture, in most parts) it is. Obviously as a tourist there I too have played a part in this shit show.

The current proposals are: ban cruise ships from stopping in the city (they have to dock at the mainland nearby and bus in), a larger tourist tax, and making a reservation to enter the city ahead of time (with a cap on the number of reservations). As an American who loves Venice, I’m in favor of all those.

This is not what they mean when they say to pre marinade your bird for better flavor.
