Yeah I think its best to just stop visiting the site on mobile. It’s such a goddamn hassle.

I don’t know if it’s the actively anti-reader advertising that blocks 80% of the page and plays without being prompted on mobile or what, but only about 30% of this article appears on the mobile version of Kotaku, and there is no option to read more or view the rest.
They already admitted to be a Hyundai dealership, it’s not like this statement is going to hurt their reputation any more than that.
So, is this a case of a rich, bleached-out boomer getting unnecessarily spicy because he found out that the rules of a signed contract applied to him
San Mateo County Sheriff Carlos Bolanos apparently lost his last election, so he’s depending on “qualified immunity” to get away with whatever he wants to as there can be no consequences to him. He had 40 years in and was soundly trounced by his opponent, Christina Corpus, earlier this year. I can’t tell when he…
Progress payments. At various stages there is an amount due to compensate for that work before further work is started. Stop paying for progress and the builder stops progressing. The whiner was 8 months behind on payments so he’s now at the back of the line to those who aren’t 8 months behind. Paying up only meant…
Sounds like the realtor has been giving the Sheriff a few ‘favors’ to get this kind of treatment.
I’m Team Batmobile.
“Riddle me this, Batman...Who has two thumbs and your car?”
I smell big lawsuit. Maybe even federal charges.
I work with extremely rich boomer car guys every single day, and I firmly believe that a good 50-60% of them would fail to see the issue with this. I know the shop was emailing this guy constantly to try and get payment from him, they probably called him multiple times, but he didn’t recognize the number so he just…
Yeah, sure except: He wasn’t “the first Black Guy” to run by, he was the only person (of any color) who happened to be there. More to the point, he happened to be wearing a mask, so his racial identity wasn’t known. But of course, the actual facts of what happened don’t fit the narrative YOU want (racist WHITE guy) so…
Yeah, not great optics for Fetterman, but anyone (black or white) who has spent time around Braddock would be jittery enough to question being a complete pacifist. Fetterman’s a good guy and the real deal. Even if he apologized, it would make zero difference to the people calling for one.
I think it would be more relevant to ask the people in Braddock, it’s population is north of 65% black and voted for him two more times after this.
Also in PA, and I agree with this assessment. Not excusing the decisions he made described in this article. He has, as a mayor and lt. governor, dedicated himself to causes that are worthwhile, specifically in criminal justice reform and civil rights.
Full discloser: I know him professionally and semi-personally. He’s a stand up guy, pretty far to the left on all economic issues, has numerous black staffers and I’m personal friends with his top-level staff who’s a black woman.
As someone who lives in PA, while he hasn’t apologized in words so much, he has dedicated himself to making up for this slight by investing heavily into communities and trying to make things better. He has said that he regrets his actions in the moment, but it was a learning experience for him.
So he doesn’t get credit for keeping cool and you know, not fucking shooting anybody? Obviously, other’s have failed far more than he has in the same situation.
And yet he’s probably still the least racist politician in PA.
