If the current administration was a bit more comitted and coordinated, you’d already be looking at more than eight. The US democracy is definitely more vulnerable than the Weimar Republic or post-Soviet Russia were, and has relied on always electing decent people throughout its history.

I think the race is closer than the media is making it out to be, but I also think Biden will come out on top. Trump caters to his hardcore base but doesn’t do much in the way of courting new voters. I’m also worried about what he’ll do when he loses, since he’s been planting the seeds of a “rigged” or “stolen”…
