All you’d do is tell them it’s been returned or some shit, not like they’re gonna investigate it’s return if they won’t bother to recover it.

I just drove from LA to Raleigh using Android Auto and I never lost Maps. I did lose cell reception and satellite radio in parts of Utah & Colorado fairly frequently when I was in deep canyons, but never had issues like you described.
