I think that might honestly be the ugliest bike I’ve ever seen.

If only we had this up in New England.

Your WR450 also has almost comically short service intervals compared to the engine in the CB500X. The WR is a great bike for going for a romp in the woods but not so much for long distance touring or for riding every day.

Oh woe is me I have to fly to Italy to get paid to ride fun bikes...

Ok so maybe I wasn’t that far off with my comment on your last post?

*Cough cough*

It’s really not that bad if you’re prepared for it. Either you change the timing of your commute slightly to avoid this happening, or you buy a helmet with a drop down sun visor, or use a sunax, or put a strip of electrical tape across the top of your visor, etc

No

I think this might be the best designed car I’ve seen in some time. Not just because it’s pretty, but the way they’ve incorporated the functional need for cooling into the design flows so well with the overall concept is far better than any other car I can think of.

I’m curious what your preferred R&D pipeline for an automaker would look like. If no advanced technology is allowed, how are you going to improve? No EFI, no ABS or traction control, no power windows, no radio, no heater or ac, nothing that requires computer control...

I’m not sure why, but for some reason I want one of these more than the gas powered 3-wheeler. I think maybe because it’s even more silly this way than it is with a motorcycle engine strapped to the front.

All the things.

1000 miles per day on your bicycle? I’ve never met anyone who could average 42mph on a bicycle for 24 hours before!

I’m guessing you don’t actually do any bicycle touring. First off, it’s not a male specific problem. And second, if your bike actually fits, if you’re using a good saddle, and if you’re wearing bike shorts, it’s not a problem at all. In fact you can ride for weeks in a row with no problems if you aren’t an idiot.

Yeah that only works with a body-on-frame vehicle like a truck or very old car. Any modern car other than the trucks is going to be a unibody, which means the chassis and body are one unit.

It’s safer because the types of crashes you get with lanesplitting are different than what you get sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Getting rear ended or plowing into the car in front of you on a bike is a very serious crash. Getting sideswiped, not so much. The CHP studies show lower crash risk and lessened

Are you seriously trying to draw a parallel between lanesplitting in CA and the free-for-all in southeast and south Asia?

I’m also curious why the hate for lanesplitting? It’s safer for the motorcycles and it means less traffic for the cars. Everybody wins.
