For people who haven’t worked in hospitality: it’s a dramedy.

I mean...but the joke wasn’t funny. It’s not that she’s humorless about herself. She was humorless about a joke that wasn’t funny. I was also humorless about that joke even though I can be very humorous about Taylor Swift.  Did you laugh at the joke?

People are making a lot of inferences from very little non-verbal information. Was she unamused by the joke? Safe to say yes. Was she enraged? Doubtful. Was she just tired of the same old same old? Maybe. In the end, the joke was tired, relatively lame, and poorly delivered - regardless of whether or not Taylor Swift

maybe she was unamused because jo koy’s joke sucked ass? maybe she wasn’t listening? maybe she was bored just like everybody else there?

My favorite is the Billie Eillish Lonely Christmas video where she tries to invite a neighbor (Kate McKinnon) she sees in the apartment across from her over for Xmas dinner. It does not go well!

I’m not going to watch more SNL to find out, but I hope Mikey Day and Heidi Gardner play dysfunctional couples regularly - they have a really great dynamic.

“He’s not even a cripple!”

Yes! Those are both my two favorites. “Welcome to being a woman, Kiley.”

Enough of these are genuinely great that I shouldn’t complain, but for fucks sake, it’s Nasim Pedrad. Not “Nasil.”

Why aren’t you people using an ad blocker? FFS! It’s 2023 and you can avoid all of that.

“You made one mistake, Potter. You double crossed me and you left me alive!”

I thought we all agreed that the best Christmas commercial was the incest coffee ad.

I think a strong contender in this genre is the weight-lifting grandpa ad.

The fake Macy’s kids clothes commercial and Best Christmas Ever are also great

your forgot my favorite - the alternate ending to “it’s a wonderful life” with dana carvey as george. “mary, mary!”

Marvels was great. Much more fun and decidedly less convoluted than Captain Marvel. Khamala Khan is a lightning bolt of charisma. There were laugh-out-loud funny scenes, musical numbers, and a villain that actually had legitimate beef. I can’t understand the pillorying it’s getting. My thought after watching it was,

The sharif may not like it, but I, for one, am ready to rock the Kazbar.
