THEIR DEATHS WERE NOT “UNTIMELY”. THEY HAPPENED PRECISELY ON SCHEDULE.

Male singers and rappers (and most other rich guys) make bank bragging about their excesses, but we’re in the middle of a (renewed) war on women so I’m not at all surprised that Swift isn’t just the bad guy - she’s the worst guy.

Blossom was a pretty good show.

Anne’s very smart and perceptive…but she’s also *deeply sad*.  All the time.  Because she turned Wentworth down.

Just finished watching it. It is not at all a faithful adaptation, so if that’s going to bother you, skip this. Louisa and Henrietta are much more likeable/sensible in this adaptation, which makes Louisa’s major plot point truly inexplicable when it happens. Dakota Johnson is good. Cosmia above isn’t wrong. This

As if Persuasion hasn’t been adapted multiple times and Sally Hawkins and Amanda Root hadn’t both interpreted that very well thank you very much.

Listen, I’m not fussed about slavish adherence. I’m not a purist, I love it when movies and theater get weird and anachronistic. But if you’re gonna do it, you need to understand what makes the source material work so well. Persuasion works because it’s thoughtful and introspective; if it’s gonna go the Fleabag route,

Well, not every book and story throughout history was crafted with an aim to appeal to you personally.

That’s the one with Ciaran Hinds, right?  That is, I think, my favorite Austen adaptation.

i don’t like rom coms but i adore the bbc 1995 version.

Yeah, without Robert Downey Jr. about 85 of these characters wouldn't have been launched.

it’s “fashionable” to like Black people lol? Bet you can’t wait for it to be out of “fashion” again.

Kilgrave is arguably the MCU’s best villain (he’s sure as hell more interesting than Thanos anyway) and you just dump him in the mid-70's? It’s no wonder why people keep clinging to the “MCU has no good villains” myth when all the good ones get overlooked like this.

I quite like Fassbender’s Magneto. It’s a great performance, I just wish he’d got better films to appear in.

[Jason howls in agony] might be my favorite subtitle of the entire series.

I think it’s about time Nancy gets her due credit for being the steadiest of the group and for her first instinct always being to grab a gun and start shooting.

Props also to Steve for his peerless babysitting skills & being a fantastic wingman for Robin. I agree maybe he could have been less distracting and obvious with his still carrying a torch for Nancy.

I was really impressed with Quinn. He managed to make Eddie seem like a real fleshed out character and a natural part of Hawkins and the gang. Not an easy thing coming into the fourth season of the show. It’s a real credit to him that his death was as impactful as it was.

These are good choices, but in addition to Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair (as G-Off has already mentioned), Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson managed to deliver one hell of an arc, starting out as the metal stoner who I felt was offputting in his introductory scene (which I presume was deliberate) to the end where he

I agree with this list, but Caleb McLaughlin deserves some credit. He might not have carried the whole season, but he offered up some of the best acting of the troupe, particularly in the finale.
