Hey now, that giant steam-punk mechanical spider was great! I mean, it was nonsense like pretty much the whole movie, but great nonetheless!

Agreed. Like, I'm not that big a fan of the movie, but it does have it's charm and if you're in the mood for that it's top-notch
I just saw the first trailer which made me laugh, I guess we'll see
It was unapologetic B-movie trash, which is quite rare in such modern movies
Not even worth wasting bandwidth on
Eh, who cares, apparently his kids like the franchise
"I was more irked by your defense of the franchise just to cap it off that you stole it."
That actually was kind of the joke ;)
I enjoy both actually but overall I like Weeks way more than Days. Although it's been a while since I saw it, I don't remember it being artful. I do remember it being quite cliched with the evil military guys though
Wow, sorry I offended your delicate moral sensibilities.
No TV to watch HBO btw, and I don't think there even is HBO here.
Wasn't my question, I meant what does him being a desk-jockey have to do with anything? And duh, but like I stated before, as a student I don't have the money, and this movie clearly doesn't need it anyways
Agreed on your points, the opening with that awesome, unnerving yet epic music ( https://www.youtube.com/wat… ) is truly fantastic and sets the ground for a compelling twisted family dynamic.
And, like you mentioned, it often is truly terrifying.
… why?
Apparently it had something to do with Mignola too, I think he wasn't really on board for a 3rd Del Toro Hellboy
Ha, I'm sure it will do well enough without my 8 bucks that I need for student stuff
Any fans of 28 weeks later here? I really love that movie, but I feel like people tend to forget it and only consider the 1rst one
You know, with everybody talking about how great Del Toro and Pearlman were, I feel like people are forgetting how spot-on Doug Jones/Hyde Pierce were as Abe Sapien
Oh no, a wild red dong appears! Oh, the humanity!
Think of the children!
FYI, he never confirmed that it will be R, the actual quote is:
"It’s not like I’m going to force it to be R-rated, but if it happens to come out that way, just because of my own sensibilities, then fine."
Oooohhh, Ginger Snaps, great little movie!
I think my favorite werewolf movie is American Werewolf in London though, such a weird mish-mash of tones and genres that somehow makes it all work, reminds me a lot of Ghotsbusters in that aspect now that I think about it
I feel like the hate this franchise gets is petty, just because the Minions being everywhere annoys people…
