The twist(?) that concludes the episode really isn't interesting enough to be a cliffhanger, but the episode was quite enjoyable even if it mostly set things up. I am still looking at Ivar to fill the void left by Ragnar, so far he has been portrayed really well, I hope the script doesn't let the character and the

Really, you think Ivar is supposed to look like a villain? It seems to me he is more or less like most characters on the show morality-wise, sure he is terrible and a killer but so is everybody.
And they aren't portraying him like a violent psychopath either, he is more nuanced than that, we see that in many scenes,

for whatever that's worth, on wikipedia it sayed he was playing Alfred, and I think that's the general consensus, even if it wasn't officially confirmed to my knowledge. Hogh is old enough to be made older-looking with make-up if they don't jump more than 15 years

yeah, I missed boy Bjorn at first too, but come on, that's not comparable, Hogh is not only older (and old enough to be made older looking with make up) like you said, he has been giving one of the best performances since the show started

but you can't really throw Travis Fimmels in a pit full of Viper's can you? xD

It would be extremely dumb if Hogh doesn't stay imo, he has been fleshing out the character fantastically and is the only one who comes even close to Travis Fimmel's magnetism, recasting him just after loosing your main character seems like a horrible decision

Whaaat??? It would be extremely dumb if Hogh doesn't stay, he has been fleshing out the character fantastically and is the only one whoe comes even close to Travis Fimmel's magnetism, recasting him just after loosing your main character seems like a horrible decision

My guess is that if he went there alone it would have been too obvious that he wanted to die, and besides Ivar nobody should know about his true intentions so everybody is truly motivated

Is The Last Kingdom worth it? I am dying to see more Viking shenanigans on TV, but I don't really care about the Medieval Kingdoms and all that, it's been done to death and less interesting, we all know how those were

Thank god for Ivar, as much as I like Lagertha her arc this season was meh and the actress was never really that great, Ivar's performance on the other hand has been impressive and very promising

come on, who cares, like 90% of the saga is probably untrue anyway, no need to follow everything, and he would have looked silly in leather pants

Damn, so they really did it, I kept expecting some kind of twist, like Ecbert cancelling the whole thing at the last second or something..

I don't really follow awards, and in the end they don't matter, but seeing in the comments here that Travis Fimmel never received any award for his incredible performance as Ragnar is kinda sad, he is a relatively new and not really well known actor who deserves some more recognition. Altough Vikings presumably did

I don't really care much for Aslaug, but unlike others I like most of the mystic stuff with her, it usually makes for nice and trippy visuals and it's just ambiguous enough. Also, I don't see her as a particularly bad person in the show, not more than Lagertha anyways

yeah, so true, but then again, can't blame the musicians for not going, would you?

After finally catching up with Game of Thrones - by bingewatching all 6 seasons in a week - I can agree with everybody else, it's really a great show. The production values are amazing, and the setpieces, acting, costumes, special effects etc are always top-notch. The world is intriguing, interesting and well-built.
How

he has divine plot armour, but who cares, the whole sequence were he was trapped between the 2 opposing cavalries was really incredible

The whole battle sequence was amazing, but the beginning with Jon in the middle of the 2 opposing cavalries was phenomenal, one of the best horse battle sequences I have seen, be it in movies or TV

but european centrists are almost more leftist than the US "left" anyway, sooooo…
