You know what, you just really opened my eyes to a reading of ‘Lebowski’ I had never considered, of it being a postmodern narrative. But that’s totally what it is. It’s Pynchon-esque to the max. I think I just never noticed because they cleverly dress it up in that pristine yet homely style that is all classic cinema.

Idk what to tell you. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I didn’t even have to try. I liked the visuals, I liked the performances, I liked the music and I thought the script was good. Such a fun movie. I swear to you, I am not pretending. I really do like it a lot.

I truly am entertained reading your show recaps but dangit it’s not even been out 24 hours and you had to spoil the ousted contestant in the headline and picture. I can’t get to watching these eps until Friday nights!

In the Spacey/Plummer case it was also because the part was specifically written for Christopher Plummer, but the studio forced them to cast Kevin Spacey. So when the Spacey shit came out the producers were like “oh, we have to recast? Oh darn, well, we have an idea who could replace him...”
