One is for old people with no taste and the other is for young people with no taste...
Corvette owner forums are literally like boomer 4Chan. I made one attempt at asking a question on one and immediately ran back into the loving arms of my Fiat community.
Foose is a boomer’s boomer
Boomer Corvette owner here. FFS, we don’t all have shitty taste in wheels. The general rule is if your car is old enough to have chrome bumpers and trim, chrome wheels are acceptable. Otherwise, they look ridiculous.
Wait, no, we’re all wrong:
Buick is using that angle now. It’s also essentially the point of the Chevy “real people” campaign. The message is “you don’t need to make excuses for this car - it’s surprisingly good!” Since they’re already doing that with other Chevys, they just needs to get “real people” to “confuse” the C8 with a few exotics.

they have dice too
Pep Boys is the biggest name in aftermarket Corvette parts. No dice.
Ahem
Slot mags: an idea whose time has come AGAIN.
This is the anti-Harley Davidson’ing of the Corvette. I’m not saying their buyers were exactly the same, but the Venn diagram was damn close.
Needs more forced two-tone paint schemes and tuck-and-roll upholstery
“‘No more chrome’ she says? I’ll show them....I’ll show them ALL, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” *sketches furiously*
“Chevrolet is aggressively distancing itself from the aging Corvette fanbase, this much is clear. It moved the engine. It won’t make a manual.”
I kinda envy you that engine. My 1990 E250 camper conversion has the 302cid V-8, which somehow only makes about 130 horsepower in that application. That’s not a lot to move 7,000 pounds. It also only gets 13 mpg, dropping to 9 if I have to climb a steep hill, so there goes any fuel savings you might expect from the…
