The Mustang II gets more derision than it rightly deserves. The model’s biggest failures weren’t the fault of the car, but of the era into which it was born.

When I drove one last year I was impressed. Smooth as hell. But I knew it wasnt going to last. It was expensive and too advanced for the buyer base (who I actually watched struggle trying to change the radio station with CUE), the range made you think why’d they even bother and the batteries cut into truck space…

People have been building them into both drag and circuit cars for some time, and scavenging their front end (or buying one built to that design pattern) for use in other projects has been quite popular as well.
