But it’s rated 0.5/10 on aesthetics.

Have a 2015 Expedition: Can attest.

“. . . how hard is that 4 cylinder working to move such a large vehicle.. .” Not hard because LONG STROKE 4 banger!! Or that’s the theory anyhow.

LOL! Barely 1 second too. I ran an automatic convertible 80s Mustang GT in my Duster and it was almost a dead heat until I upshifted to third, at which point I started to fall back, but at that point we were around 65. I really liked the way that car handled and braked too. But it sort of lacked that frenetic

That’s the ghost of old Tom Joad.

Odd that he rebuilt the engine at 200K unless it actually expired, which would be unlikely in my experience. That engine would have been the least of my worries as those little old Honda motors seemed to have an infinity level of durability. It’s other stuff I’d be worried about at that mileage. $4,000 or CP.

With this swap, they addressed GMs most egregious fault of the time: Bad interiors.

If I were to ever win COTD, I would die a happy man. Small wins.

Neither of ours was close to 14s. My 3.0 5M Duster was a consistent 15.9 in 4 runs on an 85 degree day in June, which is about inline with the magazines at the time that had them around 15.8-16.5. Our 2.5 Sundance non-turbo 5M, was probably a mid-17 car, but I’d never bother to bring it to Union Grove because:

Then my NP vote wasn’t in vain!

I have had an irrational affinity for these cars since childhood. NP for childhood dreams turned adult nightmares!

This car would break me financially and cause a great deal of marital malaise. I would become a vagrant, frequenters sleeping outside a Mercedes dealership in rags while I wait for the completion of the never-ending and expensive repairs. I would risk all of that for those rare moments when I get to hear the guttural

Less like ship of thesis and more like thesis of shit.

I don’t remember the concept, but I did like all the Eclipses. I hated the fact that the back seats were unusable, but the cars themselves were pretty sweet.

I was really disappointed with the Continental show vs production car.

NASCAR fans: “Can 550 HP cars still crash into one another?”

Unfortunately, that is a frequently reoccurring theme in Detroit

They actually look less worse in an almost post-apocalyptic condition.

I’m not used to you trolling us.

If you never drove an old BMW with an I-6 and manual, you should buy this and enjoy the experience. They were silky smooth and snickety-snick at a time when refinement was hard to find. Center console window switches were an acquired taste tho. NP for nostalgia!
