I’d like to have a 392 in my ‘66 Charger, in place of the current 440, as I think it’s a great restomod motor for old Mopars.

My biggest regret was spending 2 years in trade school, becoming a mechanic and hating life for 10 years until I got out. Should have studied botany or the fine arts.

I think 1100 miles was about how many miles these went before they started falling apart. They would stumble and creak along for another 200,000 miserable miles after that, but the first 1000 miles were oh so gud!

Love the look, hate the way they drive (with factory drivetrain anyhow) and rust out within weeks of being near salt.

Hmm. That is beautiful; I stand corrected.

My wife always asks me why I turn the traction control off and leave the truck in 2WD in the snow; and with a tone like “are you stupid?”. The answer is “possibly stupid, but more likely juvenile”.

I’ve seen cars that are both less reliable and in worse condition at that price. And at least it’s interesting. NP.

Good point. With that short wheel-base and all that junk out back, this thing might just wander all over the road and be a real handful on a windy highway. These old straight-axle trucks didn’t have the most direct steering anyhow and I doubt dropping 500-800(?) lbs over and beyond the rear wheels is helping.

Instead of “1977 Chevy” but how about just “1977 Anything”.

But what if they wave a rainbow flag? He didn’t specify.

And wear flannel and/or Carharrt.

This vehicle, however, needs the hose, and some soap, and probably bleach and fungicide.

Rot, filth, rips, and no punctuation. CP

But you noticed it, so that’s got to count for something. I saw a mint condition Beretta the other day (in Chicagoland, where most cars of that vintage have returned to earth) and I was like “holy shit! How has someone kept that shoddily-built thing not only roadworthy, but looking pristine?” It’s less about being

And there are 7 more to fix after that one!

I like weird stuff and would be in at this price except for the CEL and “tow away”. How bad do tires have to be for it to be undrivable? Another issue maybe? $3,500. No more. CP

The award is meaningless anyhow; it has gone to some historically terrible cars and winning is likened to being on the cover of Madden NFL games.

That think is like the Toyota Avalon of Lincoln’s, less Avalon unkillability

I’m not a smart man; NP.

There was something wrong with them; they were Tempos. My favorite thing about them was how, when you accelerated hard, they lifted the front comically and the front wheels got major tow out, while still dropping an 18 sec 1/4 mile.
