Don’t you know the benefits of a hot air intake? (The engine warms up 0.2% faster)

The LT1 doesn’t make this a sleeper but it looks like someone slept in the front seat, and used the bathroom while they were camped out there. Oh, and someone made a pot of spaghetti under the hood for dinner. CP.

We had two of these; a strip-down shadow 2.5 or 2.2 (can’t recall) and a Duster with the 3.0, both with the 5M. They were sorta reliable, sorta OK looking and drove to places. They had a longer warranty than a Ford Tempo so there was that. I was going to argue that they weren’t “meh” cars, but as I tried to defend

You didn’t say it had to be a cool car. #santafelyfe

Articulate!

Oh nooo!

And a manual transmission......wait, wrong thread.

Wet vinyl and burning oil from The hemorrhaging valve cover.

You say that now, but wait until you splash into an ocean.

Exactly. From my days spinning wrenches, I recall these being the leakiest and most awkward things on the road.

No way I’m paying $10K for this thing, but it’s Jalopnik, where normal economics and vehicle preferences do not apply, so I gave it a sympathy NP.

These pun threads are becoming grave.

For the first time, we don’t own a sedan/coupe (excluding my rarely-driven ‘66 Charger) and have 2 SUVs. Why? The wife likes to sit up high and wants 4WD. She also does dog rescue and can leave crates in the back. I haul an ATV, use a hitch-mount bike rack for my mountain bike. Oh, and most importantly; I drive the

Had a Tundra with the same drivetrain. It was thirsty and slow, however, at 150k miles it drove like it did at 25 miles. It was the most trouble-free vehicle I’ve owned. Needed less maintenance and attention than a refrigerator. Easy NP for me!

You probably already are. It’s not that unusual for me to see a Hellcat (not sure where all these 30 YOs came up with $70-80k) and it’s not too difficult to push a Z28 over that mark. Shit, there are guys running 800+ HP boosted LS and mod motors that they yanked from junkyards.

Taking a car apart then reassembling it with limited skill, and rattle-canned parts you we’re too cheap to replace or properly refurbish doesnt qualify as a restoration. Restored back to what? How it was found in a Miami used car lot in 1984? CP

I actually wanted an R63 back in the day. Now I’ll settle for a 73 Caprice Kingswood Estate with a 454. Because: weirdo.

I’m sure other readers are glowing at our witty punnage

Not even. We will all complain about how expensive the frequent repairs on a used M2 will be, give it a giant CP vote then secretly buy a used Camry.
