I hate it because it made me feel so bad, not because it isn't good. Probably the most lifesucking movie I've ever seen.

I wasn't not talking about the soldiers, but more the military as a whole. That includes Mussolini and his cronies who thought their military could do more than it could.

Really shows off how inept Italy was. Invaded Greece, pushed back. Invaded Egypt, pushed back. Only when Germany sent some divisions and a good general did those invasions become more successful.

Hitler wanted to invade Switzerland, but decided against it in light of the harsh terrain and more important fronts (Britain, Russia). If the rest of Europe was defeated, they would've been a target again, but luckily for the world's cheese supply that didn't happen :D.

In a way I hope not, because I don't want to argue for more modding support. It should be commonplace.

SimCity 4 is one of the best examples of what happens when you let a game have mod support. It kept the community alive and healthy for ten years, as in several new mods a day and hundreds of threads/posts about the game on various sites. This was possible because the mods solved some glaring problems, most noticeably

I doubt it did them any good. It was panned as far I know.

Same here. Perhaps I've grown to live a different type of game, but much of this standard next-gen fare doesn't excite me in the slightest.

Looks a whole lot better than that zombie detour they made. What were they thinking with that one.

Looks fun. I am also looking forward to what fans will do with the footage. I imagine a year after the first we'll have versions of this trilogy that condenses it to one movie or that stays true to the what's in the book.

Ah Dishonored. One of my favorite stealth games of the last few years. The Blink ability really allows you to toy with your opponents, dumbfounding them by being there one second and then over there the next.

It might have made it look better, but from a usability standpoint it would've been horrible. Source just loads so damn slow. For me Portal 2 meant looking at a loading screen for 30 seconds every few minutes, pulling me out of the game. UE3 does loading much, much faster.

I was randomly browsing Reddit when I stumbled upon the link to the webcast. That's when I was realized that at that moment, something was travelling to space. Rockets are launching satellites all the time, but when you realize it's live the idea of something going into space is just so much more impressive.

Valve needs to get these controllers in the public's hands. Haptic feedback, at least in the way that Valve is using it, is still a new technology and a lot of people don't seem to understand the concept. I think it's important that once the tech is finalized and the release data comes closer and closer, Valve starts

I think she's going to be one of the teachers in that makeshift classroom we saw in the trailer. Could be she's grading the Prison Younglings' papers and that the kids made her all that crap on the wall. Or they're Carls' and he's become dead inside that he's regressed to the mental age of five.

Could be. There are some mods out there that have block-based animations, but they were pretty buggy last time I checked. Don't know how far they've come since then. Could be that it's only for the video though, and that the normal map is just animationless to make it playable.

As a European this shutdown business comes across as simply a political tool that opposing parties can use to blackmail the other into agreeing to their demands, but that could just be because I have limited knowledge of it. Do you Americans think it can be a useful tool to prevent bigger financial problems or do you

We really need to evolve our written language so we include the subtleties of speech and body language into what we write :D
