It spawned a “universe” like so many other franchises now. There were at least three Annabelle movies, and The Nun. Never realized the Curse of La Llorona was supposed to be part of it as well. So that makes at least 8 that I can think of that are connected to the Conjuring.

Don’t think there’s anything very unreasonable about that. He’s airing someone out in an attempt to (fairly or otherwise) malign them in the public eye. It’s only natural for the public to want to get the details of what went down and not just accept vague insinuation as a referendum on someone else’s character.…

I think wanting specifics is perfectly sensible. There would be a fact of the matter about them, and others could either confirm or deny them. At the same time, because he was dealing with Warner’s own investigation it’s understandable that not all the details were going to be available for the general public early on.
