So, you're saying it's literally impossible to flunk out?
So, you're saying it's literally impossible to flunk out?
No… it's not ignorance. Ignorance implies they haven't heard the contrary arguments or don't have available information on the topic. Which is not true. Calling it "ignorance" lets them off the hook too easily. It's stupidity.
Sure, but doesn't the fact that they are unable to be face up to reality of the situation and get over their kindergarten level comprehension of the subject make them stupid jerks?

An argument? About Star Trek? On the internet? The AV Club, you say?! Well, I never!!
I'd have to go back and rewatch some to better cite my sources, but there were multiple moments throughout the season, and especially once Francesca was in NY (conversations with Arnold and a fair amount of her dialog about Pino, and there were other, smaller gestures earlier on) that hint that the show realizes…
I loved this season and ending, and I may be in the minority here but I also thought the Dev/Francesca plot was very clever, and I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on it being actually a subtley subversive version of the typical Rom Com plot. Dev's pining for Francesca is, for the most part, a self-centered…
As a straight white guy, hearing what other straight white guys say behind closed doors has not helped :-P
Yeah, I mean that sort of goes without saying for anyone pushing the MRA horseshit, but, hey, sometimes you have to try a rational argument even if only to prove to yourself that it's pointless.
Ahem. Fox News.
A couple months ago I was accused of being a "misandrist" for advocating a feminist position on another site. At first I was going to protest, but honestly, the more I interact with MRAs, the more true it becomes.
The MRAs are right. We need to return to a time when men were MEN, and incessantly whined about not being included in female-only Wonder Woman screenings, like our grandfathers who won WWII.
That's not mud…
It's the world's least essential news!
Pundits and politicians act like the US economy is some incredibly intricate and complicated puzzle that can never be understood by mortal beings, and in terms of the minutiae of finance that's true, but the fundamental aspect of the economy is very, very simple.
"Why does a robot have to drink?"
Nice catch
What a great episode and show. One of the best things on TV, and different from everything else out there.
This isn't really accurate… Roger Ailes was at the precursor channel to MSNBC and left when it transitioned to MSNBC.
There seems to be a lot of hate for it in these comments but I think it's pretty good.
