I'm surprised. I use cash all the time and don't know a single person who doesn't. Vending machines, drinks in a bar, bread/sandwiches, using lockers, using the toilet in a movie theatre,... Even in the supermarket if it's below €20.

Or tie a knot in your handkerchief! Old trick, still works.

With MSE fully integrated in Windows 8 by default, is there an easy way to disable or uninstall it if you want to use another antivirus?

I wouldn't say that it's definitely just a way for them to get your phone number, but this concern is the reason why I don't have 2FO enabled on Facebook and Google. I don't want those companies to have my phone number because I'm not sure what they are going to do with it.

Does everyone get that warm fuzzy feeling when their tip gets featured on the main site?

I was sort of a victim of online username theft. I'm the administrator of a forum, and one night some guys had the fun, if somewhat annoying idea of spamming another forum. Oh I see! never noticed that one before!

Yes, but on the other hand the Metro UI isn't perfect. I've tried the Start Window and decided that I don't like it—I don't like that it takes over my entire screen, for example. In Windows 7 you can theoretically control the start menu with you keyboard while continuing reading a text. Not possible with the Start
