As far as I know (and I just checked on Win7 and Vista) it's always been under File > New Task, since Vista anyway.

I've seen that first one before on LH, but I'm surprised that it works for other people, because it doesn't for me. I've found it extremely difficult to trick myself because I _know_ I'm tricking myself and then I'm like: 'yeeeeah, you put this task second on your list, but you do know it's actually top priority,

I'm a bit confused about the line 'Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com' in the second verse. It ruins the song's structure completely!

Lots of movies come out later in other parts of the world. I have to wait for Cloud Atlas until late March...

It's not always like that, though. I am trying to avoid any spoilers about Doctor Who, but a week ago (give or take) there was a spoiler in an article's picture. No way to avoid looking at the pictures, other than leave io9 entirely...

Me as well.

There's tunnels under both parts of the highway (a bit above the middle of the picture).

I don't even do that because I think it's completely unneccessary. Facebook must have figured out on its own that I have a girlfriend by scanning my pictures and posts :-)

This is a really great idea and I don't know why I hadn't though of it myself. I'll be asking for a Crashplan subscription this year, thanks Whitson!

The series only has 4 issues (for now), all equally gorgeous, but I like the third (Red Soul) most, story-wise. Guarnido hasn't done any other comics yet.

Oh, the horrible keyboard clicks! I think I even hated them before the touchscreen. You're tapping an actual button which already makes a clicking noise of its own, you don't have to add bleeps to it. And who needs to hear the buttons anyway? You feel them. You see the character you just typed. Do you get an eargasm

Which doesn't mean that we can't enjoy an audiobook, off course.

For me what you describe only works for IM. My smses often consist of multiple sentences (I send free text messages so I don't have to cram everything into 160 characters) so periods are necessary. In IM you (or rather I) tend to hit Enter after every (half) sentence, so I don't use periods there most of the time.

But also far more delicate and easy to break. I prefer my horses sturdy.

You're probably right, though I can imagine a driver moving a little to the right/left on his bench if he wanted to hit another driver very badly. Which may have been a perfectly normal thing to do, depending on the overall degree of politeness in traffic in the middle ages.

Also, in medieval times, the driver was usually on the front of the vehicle, not inside, without window to be using a weapon out of. Unless by vehicle you mean horse, but then again horses usually don't have windows.

Strangely enough, here in Belgium the C word (or, rather, the Dutch translation) is quite acceptable, except at family dinners.

MS's interface (from Office 2007 onwards) is, to me at least, way more intuitive than LibreOffice's. Even more so in Office 2010.
