I remember in old Hondas you had to hold the interior handle open while you pushed the lock button down or it wouldn’t lock. When I was a lot attendant I learned to just always lock the doors with the key anyway so you would never lock them in the car. Remote locks of course rendered all of this irrelevant.

That’s doubly amazing when you consider that the workers on the production line who assembled the thing were probably left with a bucket of screws and bolts that were supposed to be installed, but didn’t quite make it into the final product for whatever reason.
