Which way are you going from Charlottesville to Blacksburg?

Bullshit. Lived in SOVA my entire life. Still do. Speed everyday.

I’ve seen cars from there. Always cringed when I saw a racial slur plastered on the back of someone’s vehicle.

Safe?

Is this really a saying anymore? I think the only time I can recall this saying is from watching Dukes of Hazard reruns as a young’n and the “bad guys” would have what they called a “souped-up sedan.”

That’s what I was thinking, ha!

It can be done with manual transmission FWD,…when I first bought my first Integra; I put it in reverse, get some good momentum going, hit the clutch and slam the shifter into first as fast as I could while revving the engine to the moon and immediately dump the clutch in 1st and let it bounce on the rev limiter. Haha.

Welcome. Now the big questions ,…

That’s not unheard of. Friend is a technician at a Nissan dealer back home, he said he does a few CVT replacements a week.

It’s not to see something properly done, instead of hacked together and “be aight” mentality. Ive always appreciated the extra “small steps” that many ignore such as cleaning up the wires, properly torquing the bolts, silicone over the connections ,…

Va Beach has tough rules in general. Never lived there but visited a lot when I lived in the 804. I remember the “no cursing” ordeal when that was a new thing! People love to bag on VA for car enthusiasts but it certainly is much worse in other places (ahem, ever heard of CARB?). Everybody loves to whine about the VSI

Lifelong Virginian checking in. Have gotten a reckless ticket and 3 days later got a speeding ticket in a different county! Also got pulled for going more than double the speed limit in Chesterfield County. Never served jail time.

Meh, kei car would be fine except for major highways.

I’m very thankful for modern safe cars, as I would have lost a lot of people in my life to accidents by now, probably.

Star for you, lol. At one time my daily was an XJ and the wife had a Forester.

Agree. I’ve seen them put more into builds than that, and I’ve seen them get help from Lucky and Tony Angelo (both pretty good wrenchers from what I’ve seen).

In the video he clearly comments about removing the side airbags because their going for “a pretty penny on eBay”,…

…And now my stomping grounds of Chesterfield County will forever be known on Jalopnik for this …
