“Given up on life” , or for parents who aren’t worried about “being cool” and purchase the best purpose built vehicle for the need of hauling around their crotchfruit.

Love these ! I leaned how to drive a manual in one before I even had my learners ! Always wanted one. I imagine with all the sitting, this one will need a fair amount of sorting out.

I did that to my old XJ daily driver when I first got it ,…Took the entire TB apart, definitely worth it.

Can’t judge a book by its cover man, but I did lol @ the minivan comment

Even a cheap electric or propane heater in closed doors ,…I've worked in a decent sized garage with a radiant heater and man it was so much better than nothing

Don’t they have apps where you can post where you are or as you progress on a trip ? I think Roadkill has used them ? He could “checkin” with us on here and local Jalops could potentially pitch in?

Yes! I have a headlamp (cheap energizer, it works) but i love those lights. I got mine for <$5 at Autozone, I’ve seen them at HF & gas stations, too.

Not everyone has a Costco. I don’t have one near me. Even still, time has value. Way less time to do a couple clicks and get something shipped from Amazon …

Dang, I hope you don’t beat the ol’ gal up too much! Those things aren’t exactly a dime a dozen.

As in one of the infamous turbo mopar vans? 😱

“More valuable”

Given that your saying “VA/MD/DC” I’m assuming you really mean NOVA, which is a whole different world from what I like to call “actual Virginia”. NOVA needs to be its own state or annexed in by MD or DC or something

I don’t know much about how that worked since I was store level. This store is a HUGE parts store chain. They ran their own semi/18 wheelers. Had a large distribution center for the region I was in. The stores would get pallet(s) delivered overnight, 5 days a week. They would pick up any pallet(s) we had prepared for

I’ve done management in parts (one or more of the following: advance /auto zone /O’Reilly /car quest /etc.) and service management/writing (again, think along Firestone / Goodyear / merchants. And yes we did full service). My personal, therefore anecdoctal observations:

Wife dailys an 08 Forester 2.5 NA. The oil consumption is really odd imho. Haven’t been able to nail down a pattern. Sometimes it’s just fine. Other times- like when she took a road trip without me, about 5-7 hours each way, it was about a quart low.

And I’ve seen plenty of people with Tacomas that run the hell out of them.👍🏼 I've traditionally liked the Tacoma but I really hate the model bloat and would love to see a return of proper compact pickups. I had a Ranger that I absolutely loved

Or, that your manly enough to not worry about a penis extender truck with 8x the capability you’ll ever come close to “needing” and actually pick a vehicle based on what you ACTUALLY use it for, that is reliable and practical ?

I own a minivan, and have for ~1.5 years. I’m in my late 20s,…

Does the battery only charge when plugged in or from regenerative braking? Or does normal driving build it back up as well? (Sorry if I missed that in the article).

We had an Astro as well. But ours was a more basic one with the rear bench seats and no window tint. As a youngster I always liked our friends and family members aerostars and mopar variants because they were much quieter and smoother. I liked the minivans because they were comfortable for trips in the back, we
