Dang, I hope you don’t beat the ol’ gal up too much! Those things aren’t exactly a dime a dozen.

As in one of the infamous turbo mopar vans? 😱
“More valuable”
Given that your saying “VA/MD/DC” I’m assuming you really mean NOVA, which is a whole different world from what I like to call “actual Virginia”. NOVA needs to be its own state or annexed in by MD or DC or something
I don’t know much about how that worked since I was store level. This store is a HUGE parts store chain. They ran their own semi/18 wheelers. Had a large distribution center for the region I was in. The stores would get pallet(s) delivered overnight, 5 days a week. They would pick up any pallet(s) we had prepared for…
I’ve done management in parts (one or more of the following: advance /auto zone /O’Reilly /car quest /etc.) and service management/writing (again, think along Firestone / Goodyear / merchants. And yes we did full service). My personal, therefore anecdoctal observations:
Wife dailys an 08 Forester 2.5 NA. The oil consumption is really odd imho. Haven’t been able to nail down a pattern. Sometimes it’s just fine. Other times- like when she took a road trip without me, about 5-7 hours each way, it was about a quart low.
And I’ve seen plenty of people with Tacomas that run the hell out of them.👍🏼 I've traditionally liked the Tacoma but I really hate the model bloat and would love to see a return of proper compact pickups. I had a Ranger that I absolutely loved
Or, that your manly enough to not worry about a penis extender truck with 8x the capability you’ll ever come close to “needing” and actually pick a vehicle based on what you ACTUALLY use it for, that is reliable and practical ?
I own a minivan, and have for ~1.5 years. I’m in my late 20s,…
Does the battery only charge when plugged in or from regenerative braking? Or does normal driving build it back up as well? (Sorry if I missed that in the article).
We had an Astro as well. But ours was a more basic one with the rear bench seats and no window tint. As a youngster I always liked our friends and family members aerostars and mopar variants because they were much quieter and smoother. I liked the minivans because they were comfortable for trips in the back, we…
Eh, I don’t know about the whole not crash trying to corner fast. My brother in law flipped a 2.2 penalty box Camry his grandmother passed down to him into a cow pasture on a back road,…I didn’t even know you could get those things fast enough on a back road to flip one. Still blows my mind. He said he loves going…
I don’t understand the negativity against such a wonderfully functional vehicle. Happy CT&C driver checking in. Viva la minivan!
As a minivan driving dad, I do agree. My high school girlfriend was older than me and got her license before i did. She drove either the family Voyager (4 banger!) or her dads 80s Suburban 4x4 with extended fiberglass top (I’m 6' and I could fully stand up inside the thing). Both with nice tinted windows ,…we drove…
Ugh,…sucks. My wife leaves the seat warmer on her Subaru on during the winter. Luckily it is a separate button,…usually a block or two in and I start thinking why the heck am I roasting , hah.
Definitely agree about not using the horn! Our Subaru and most (all?) Toyotas have a little high pitched chirp. My Chrysler does the horn.
But how fast would it charge if I could somehow harness, channel lightning to the F̶l̶u̶x̶ ̶c̶a̶p̶a̶c̶i̶t̶o̶r̶ batteries ?
I don’t like integration of mess like the radio and HVAC controls and etc. or touch screen in a car for functions the driver needs to operate. I like proper turn knobs for HVAC. I like proper volume knob and buttons for the stereo unit. I can’t read a book or use my iPhone as a passenger because I get really bad…
None of the above.
