You do realize where Bernie is from, right? And that he was silent on firearm rights for a very long time as a result of being from that place? And that we are way more heavily armed than you?

This isn’t about getting the power. That comment was in response to the potential need for chassis modification to handle more power, when 300 horsepower through the stock drivetrain has been demonstrated already.
Why on earth would they ever do that? Publications make their money off the advertising power wrought by views, discussion, and attention—and even you still clicked on the post. If anything, the Chiron—and a battle over the rights to release its review early—is the most perfect example of how these publications…
So if you leased a car for a 17-year-old, by the time they turn 20 and that lease is up, someone is going to have to shell out more money to get another car. Them, or you.
About ten years too late for the nikasil stuff (and in any case, once a car passed 100k without issue, the engine had sealed and you were good). These V8s had the plastic timing chain tensioners and guides that made the heads a wear item, at a cost of $4500+ if they exploded (which they did, multiple times per engine…
Or you could get a five year old Honda and get the exact same transportation value, without losing 30-40% of your investment.
I’m pretty sure this refers more to the idea that you’re going to lose between 30-40% of the vehicle’s value in the first two years. It’s not the 1960s anymore—a two year old car is going to still be reliable for another two decades or so (at least), so why would anyone in their right mind throw away money on a new…
It’s been over in mid-January the last three years.
He is. I see this car all the time in Burlington. And to be fair, I don’t think he had any intention at all of driving in a boring fashion if he brought this car out yesterday.
I see this car like every other day in VT (and I’m pretty sure he’s on here, actually). There’s a good chance this is his summer setup, and/or that he took the car out for shits and giggles on summers to see what would happen (I used to do that all the time). I know it’s putting words in his mouth, but I just about…
Looks good, doesn’t it? 2002 530i, pretty rare manual Topaz-on-black-with-Sport-and-Premium-Packs car. 153k when I bought it, 178k when I sold it, and the biggest headache of the 11 cars I’ve owned.
Huh. My most recent E24 seems to have this problem (the other car stays constant), but it’s the auto, which would probably explain why I haven’t identified a pattern to when it comes on/off.
Hey, you’re that guy! I use your site for everything!
They do when you’re slowing for an exit. Which is on the right. And which is what the entire anecdote is about. Not sure why you’re fighting this one bud.
Completely agree on all points. Driving in LA is a much calmer experience than driving anywhere on the East Coast, I’d say. Even the smaller eastern cities don’t seem nearly as “relaxed” about driving.
Most Gridlocked City
You’re not wrong, Patrick.
As a three-time W124 owner, being a manual and having ridiculously low mileage does make it worth it. You’re not the target audience for this car, but the target audience (who pay $13-15k for Convertible E320s and $6-8k for automatic wagons) will pay for this easily.
As a three-time W124 owner, this is an excellent price for this car. Hell, it’s almost a good price for an auto with 88k. For $8k, a manual W124 that’s this clean is going to go pretty quickly.
The Hollywood Reporter mentions “a baby Formula 1 car” which sounds amazing, but I don’t see it in any of this footage.
