Fair points, but two issues: one, eighties style cars are coming back in style (E24/28 BMW, Merc W124, E30, etc), and are more appreciated now than five years ago. And two, you came on Jalopnik for what? You know the mascot of Jalopnik is practically a 1991 Volvo 240 wagon, right? And that the early '90s Miata is the

Ah, I mistook his shift down to second as a pull of the handbrake; I'm familiar with the Scandinavian flick. Guess that's what I get for watching on my phone.

Okay, I'll bite: hey DustyVentures (or others), what does it take to set up a Subaru to be able to pull handbrake slides on asphalt - or anywhere - without it wreaking havoc with the transmission? It seems like it would be a disastrous thing to suddenly stop the rear wheels (or do they just go for the clutch and hope

This is true.

$2000's not bad. Especially considering that for $1k you could put together something that could run a solid 75% of what's shown there.

That is true. We've opened a bunch of Mercedes' like that where I work (as a valet).

How to TVRs handle being driven like they're meant to? Or to rephrase: what went wrong the most?

It's the new 3-series coupe. No one knows why they changed the name. But given the fact that the "328i" is a 2.0-liter and the "550i" has a 4.4-liter V8, and there is a Six-series sedan that is the same size as a Five-series, I don't think it matters anyway.

It's not exactly thick enough to be the sole layer of protection on a bike in the event of a fall, but it's fairly water resistant. If I were to get another one, I'd probably go for a tighter-fitting leather one. But I'm happy with it.

Hey! That's my Barbour, exactly! And I got mine at Orvis, actually, albeit at their flagship store.

Anyone know where the 500-car collection is?

Oh, yes, using their free market powers! Of course! Why didn't he think of that?

ESM wheels has a 20% off deal. I would totally take advantage of it if I weren't getting a custom set.

Not a wise purchase, although there are a number of conversion sources that can turn 996s into almost-997 lookalikes, which this car appears to be. It's not the entire body, more like just the bumpers, front fenders, hood, and lights (plus the spoiler). Extensive and thorough, but not exactly a full body. The body

Protective film is exactly what it is. It's what cars arriving to dealers on trucks have. So this car is not camouflaged.

That's kind of the other issue - he doesn't want a "supercar" Supra, but that's what the Supra's class has turned into (and maybe not a supercar per se, but a very high-performance sports car). It's competitor the R34 GT-R has become the current single-model GT-R, and the Corvettes and Vipers of the world have grown

You still have one. You could have a V6 Mustang for this price!

The "transport" I was referring to wasn't the car...

It's on air. Calm down. And it's an incredibly good looking car, with few of the compromises typical of static stanced vehicles. It's also a Bavaria in great condition, and if you sold the wheels and air system, it would be almost a free car.
