Drunk driving laws? The laws have not made an appreciable difference in the number drunk driving deaths. The thing that has made a difference is education. Speed limits? They’ve gone up while the accident rate has gone down. Crazy and/or stupid people don’t give a shit about laws. More laws aren’t going to change shit.

Met Judy at a Can-Am event at Laguna in the early 70's. I was about 16 and she was as interested in what I was doing as I was in what she was doing. For a dipshit 16 year old pit crew gofer this was incredible. She was/is a riot. If you ever get the chance to sit down with her it will not be time wasted. A True Gem.

Oddly enough, I drove my very similar Caddy to work this morning. Instead of the 16v I’ve got the 8v GTI drivetrain. This one is my second conversion and I don’t imagine I’ll ever sell it. 4.5 large is about market for one like this.

Exactly so on all points. I love traveling to Japan. But that might be because I’m half Japanese too. I didn’t grow up there and don’t speak much of the language but that is really a fun place to visit. Wish some of the xenophobes could see past their prejudices but I suppose that limits the number of Ugly Americans…
