This actually doesn’t fix anything. R2D2 and C3PO are shown on Yavin IV after Raddus has already engaged in battle and the rest of the fighter craft are shown leaving. Therefore the Tantive IV must have arrived after the battle was already in progress and discreetly docked with Raduus’ ship.
