We actually watched "Half a Life" in a Sociology class in college. It was kind of kick ass to spend the class watching Star Trek and then picking it apart. For college credit. Yay Michigan State!

They recognize the name of the show is ridiculous now as it doesn't have anything to do with the plot of the show. Every ep's opening credits acknowledges that. And last night we had that brillian "What do I have to do? Change my name??"

Ok, I had never seen an episode of this show until reading the recap of the premier. Then I went back and read the recaps of the finale from last season and a few others. I was sold. I immediately set my DVR to stun and sat back to absorb the joy.

For the most part, I agree with most of your reviews, except I find a distinct lack of, I don't know, enjoyment for the sake of enjoyment in them. One of the great things about Amelie was the glee with which she approached each episode, good or bad…and made the bad ones even more fun because you always knew…
