We nearly saw it with Reggie Brown in ‘97. At this point, I figure the NFL’s lucky to have avoided an on-field death for as long as they have.

Oh gosh, I forget now who posted it, but I remember someone on Twitter posting a joke when Joaquin’s casting was announced, with the gag being he thought he was going to work with Todd Haynes and not Todd Phillips.
This sucks. While I haven’t read SI in a loooooooooooong time, it’s still frustrating to see yet another media entity getting shafted by the dipshits who suddenly control it.
Yeah I didn’t realize he’d left ESPN until very recently.
So Sparks management is trying to match up to the Lakers’ standard of clusterfuckery?
Idea - Reduce the season dramatically by having the season end in early September. Expand playoffs to eight teams in each league; Best-of-five 1st round, then best-of-seven 2nd round/LCS/WS. Spread four rounds over nearly two months rather than three rounds in one, season consistently ends before Halloween.
What’s wild about the Broncos’ futility since that SB win - they actually had a winning year the following season and were 8-4 off a bye heading into Thanksgiving weekend only to lose four of five, finishing 9-7 and just missing a wild card berth. They’re 11-25 in 2+ seasons since then.
I don’t think this could happen without something scary being involved, like Disney buying Warner, but I could go for a DC vs Marvel movie someday, especially if DC keeps getting their act together on the movie front. Captain Marvel and Superman trading punches, or Black Panther & Batman, could be fun (though yeah, I…
It’d be nice if they still let things be interconnected here and there. I’d like to see another, non-microwaved attempt at Justice League that’s legitimately good this time. I don’t need full-on team-ups or frequent cameos, but I’ll grow a bit frustrated if everything ends up mostly siloed.
I could stomach Kofi dropping the belt to Brock if: Kofi gets a rematch where he looks great, even if he falls short again, and then Kofi & Xavier pivot to pushing Big E to take the belt from Brock and he eventually claims it for his own singles run as champ. I don’t want New Day broken up but still want them to enjoy…
I would actually slot the Astros in just after the Yankees. I don’t hate the franchise, as that fanbase was miserable for a long time too, but I do resent the Astros a bit (and MLB, by extension) for the racist gesture Yuli Gurriel made towards Yu Darvish during the WS and MLB nor the Astros suspending him…
The Red Sox have spent their way, via free agency and mostly solid player development, to four titles in roughly a decade and a half. They basically turned into Yankees-adjacent. The thought of them doing stupid shit like this because ownership suddenly turns cheap is hilarious on some level.
I’m a Dodger fan, so I will hope those big blue idiots finally win a title, so I can move on to never caring how they fare in a season or postseason ever again.
Fuck Malcolm Gladwell.
I’m all for this as long as my and everyone else’s salary isn’t reduced to compensate. An extra day off each week is nice but losing four days worth of money a month isn’t a welcome tradeoff to get that. Either shorten the work week without cutting into worker salaries as a result, or keep the work week the same but…
It’s like a little baby fight club! How cute.
Cam should’ve immediately had his number retired and his bust in Canton carved out after leading that 2015 garbage looking offense with Philly Brown, Jerricho Cotchery, Ted Ginn, and the two Mikes who couldn’t pass protect worth a damn to a 15-1 and Super Bowl. Honor him at the Kennedy Center.

If there were one team that would, and should, sign Kap, it’s the Panthers. Eric Reid’s the on roster already, the owner’s paid lip service to the idea of players kneeling not being traumatizing to him, they shouldn’t have to change their scheme much, etc. Of course, even the Panthers won’t, so now it’s a few weeks of…
So are Schefter and Mort just going to jump Rapoport at a combine or something, or nah?
