huh? you don't need sentience for genders.

This is...

@Jared Huke: I love illustrator, but it's not a good program for web design. Photoshop or (ugh) Fireworks are much better for that.

@LeftClicker: How did they learn design before the 80's?

@Super_Pickle: Please, it's graphic design. Not graphics design.

Much of the issue at hand is due to the loose use of the word Design and Designer. Lifehacker has articles all the time about better cooking, but you don't often see Chefs getting defensive in the comments.

@Peter Shultz: I'm totally with you. They might as well link off to the Gimp, and 1001 Free Fonts and say "There, Now you're a designer!"

@LTA: yeah. super weird.

@Alex Mathewson: I think you mean "designers". heavy on the air-quotes.

@dccorona: duh, the dinosaurs live in the shadows. since moon-dinosaurs obviously don't reflect light you can't see them. There were moon dinosaurs within 200 meters of the astronauts at all time.

@blash: eh. Grandmas, Parents, Parents of friends.

@moolcool: eh...keyboard is personal opinion. I'll give you cheaper.

@The Werewolf: 90% of the designers and developers I know prefer Apple, and 100% of the grandmas I know use Windows.

@∞Gïmmï∞Mørgäikkøŋëŋ∞: ok... I'm not an engineer, and I know better to debate this with someone on the internet. So I'll just toss out a few things:

@karmakazenz1: You might say you're a sceptic, but it sounds to me like you are bending over backwards to avoid calling anything implausible.

@xxnike629xx: a) pennies are used more than once.

@∞Gïmmï∞Mørgäikkøŋëŋ∞: Yeah, This guy seems a malevolent hand in everything. In reality it's just an incredibly complex system that isn't terribly efficient. And he just sees patterns that don't exist in the complexity.

It's not a 'national' landmark, but you missed a very important Boulder Colorado landmark:
