not long ago we re did our master suite (ok, to be honest, we're still working on bits of it.. like we have no sink or counters yet in the bathroom... but...) we did a paperbag treatment on the bedroom floor in a red shade, did all the trim in a dark cherry (it really is dark enough it looks purple..) have purple trim

know this is older, but as it's been recently linked to again.. we recently painted our bed room a nice dark teal, with dark cherry (almost purple) accent trim, purple fixtures and other bits, a reddish floor (we did the paper bag floor with the red project paper from the lowes/home depot.. it worked really well and

Piggy's.. off.. she looks more like Annie Sue then Piggy... but it's a good try at it..

the problem is that by raising the minimum wage, all that will do is give big business an excuse to raise their prices on everything and the vicious circle continues.. i'm afraid it's going to be a very long, complicated, messy thing to fix. but it is something that should be a higher priority in this country..

Pommie mommy here as well.. we've had 8 dogs in the last 10 years (plus another 7 or 8 fosters.. of our 8, all but 2 have been pure pommies.. of those 2, one was a pure jrt and the other is a pommie crossed with who knows what.. all 8 of them have been rescues, most of them with some sort of medical issue, mostly

we actually run christmas lights through out the house, on timers, all year long. have them set to come on at night for a few hours and again in the morning, early, when everyone is getting up for work/school.. makes it a much easier transition, and means we don't need to turn on as many overhead lights. (We live in

agreed.. i would go out and buy several of these... we have a 5 year old grand daughter who has inherited some of our old barbie things (the girls all saved some of their stuff to pass down to their kids...after i had passed some of my old barbie stuff down to them..) and we do foster care so always have a few around

we got one of her paintings years ago.. hubby was deployed so I requested one for him for his return.. Uncle Deadly (1:32 mark on the video, lower right hand corner) hangs in our living room to this day. we love it, she did a great job

we have tv's.. we don't have cable (and barely have over the air coverage cuz of where we live..*sigh*) but we likes our dvd's and video games..

I gave up bras a few years back.. mind you, my abandonment was mostly forced upon me.. car accident left me with severely limited mobility all around, but esp in one of my shoulders, so it was literally impossible for me to get the dumb things on.. I do still have a few, but wear them very, very rarely and as much as

I'm taking 2 nutrition classes right now and it's been pretty eye opening. I mean, I had to seriously re-examine what I was eating 2 years ago when I found out I have celiacs and needed to go gluten free, and when I saw these classes available I figured I could use a refresher course, so why not.. but yeah.. the stuff

we also pickle beets 9duh..) and turnips and potatoes.. those two are yum.. combine them with some "fresh boiled" potatoes.. and you get a wonderful pickled potato salad.. (we also bottle potatoes for home fries as well..)

hubby and I have a king for the same reason it sounds like you do.. :) as for the kids.. they've always had twin sized beds.. we have 2 full sized ones in the house now.. one is the hid-a-bed for guests, and the other was bought a few years ago when my oldest step daughter was living with us for a little while with

lol.. oh i love oatmeal (and hubby is half Scottish..) but i have to make sure it's certified gluten free and hasn't been cross contaminated with wheat, rye or barley or it makes me very, very ill.. and they like to charge lots of extra money for that, so not going to waste it to clean out the cast iron :)

brunette here as well, though, until about age 4 I had lovely reddish hair.. once in a while I will go back to that.. I found the easiest way to cheat that is to use a blond dye (usually a light ash blond).. won't take me blond, but it will lighten me back to red for a while... (then I decide it's more hassle and time

anyone else want to just track her down, lock her in a room and bring in all your friends to discuss nothing but your dogs?? (we're fosters for a rescue group, so i can get LOTS of people together for this.. ) anyone else in?? just me???

i use pickling salt and baking soda.. depending on how stuck things are to the pan, baking soda will take care of the light stuff by itself, if i need more abrasion, I will add in some salt. no way i'd use oatmeal.. gluten free house and certified gluten free oats are dang pricey. regular oats are often badly cross

not sure this would hold up to hubby's work boots and everyone's winter boots (Alaska..) but it's an interesting idea... don't have anywhere to put it right now anyway, either.. but... idea to file away for maybe later.. and some additional hacking...

we had one.. but 2 lay offs in the last year, the most recent a month ago and still waiting... (plus some emergency septic line repairs last fall..) we're running pretty thin at this point.. not sure what we will be doing next month for money....may have to tap into the 401, not that there's all that much in there,

that varies by state.. here in alaska, in most cases, the birth parents have 3 years to get their act together before the state will terminate parental rights. we're doing the foster with hopes to adopt as we can't afford private adoption. it's hard. we run the risk of getting very attached and even getting to where
