I'm taking 2 nutrition classes right now and it's been pretty eye opening. I mean, I had to seriously re-examine what I was eating 2 years ago when I found out I have celiacs and needed to go gluten free, and when I saw these classes available I figured I could use a refresher course, so why not.. but yeah.. the stuff

we also pickle beets 9duh..) and turnips and potatoes.. those two are yum.. combine them with some "fresh boiled" potatoes.. and you get a wonderful pickled potato salad.. (we also bottle potatoes for home fries as well..)

hubby and I have a king for the same reason it sounds like you do.. :) as for the kids.. they've always had twin sized beds.. we have 2 full sized ones in the house now.. one is the hid-a-bed for guests, and the other was bought a few years ago when my oldest step daughter was living with us for a little while with

lol.. oh i love oatmeal (and hubby is half Scottish..) but i have to make sure it's certified gluten free and hasn't been cross contaminated with wheat, rye or barley or it makes me very, very ill.. and they like to charge lots of extra money for that, so not going to waste it to clean out the cast iron :)

brunette here as well, though, until about age 4 I had lovely reddish hair.. once in a while I will go back to that.. I found the easiest way to cheat that is to use a blond dye (usually a light ash blond).. won't take me blond, but it will lighten me back to red for a while... (then I decide it's more hassle and time

anyone else want to just track her down, lock her in a room and bring in all your friends to discuss nothing but your dogs?? (we're fosters for a rescue group, so i can get LOTS of people together for this.. ) anyone else in?? just me???

i use pickling salt and baking soda.. depending on how stuck things are to the pan, baking soda will take care of the light stuff by itself, if i need more abrasion, I will add in some salt. no way i'd use oatmeal.. gluten free house and certified gluten free oats are dang pricey. regular oats are often badly cross

not sure this would hold up to hubby's work boots and everyone's winter boots (Alaska..) but it's an interesting idea... don't have anywhere to put it right now anyway, either.. but... idea to file away for maybe later.. and some additional hacking...

we had one.. but 2 lay offs in the last year, the most recent a month ago and still waiting... (plus some emergency septic line repairs last fall..) we're running pretty thin at this point.. not sure what we will be doing next month for money....may have to tap into the 401, not that there's all that much in there,

that varies by state.. here in alaska, in most cases, the birth parents have 3 years to get their act together before the state will terminate parental rights. we're doing the foster with hopes to adopt as we can't afford private adoption. it's hard. we run the risk of getting very attached and even getting to where

yes.. and it's amazing the list of symptoms we can have.. not just gastro issues.. for me, it usually starts with a headache, which may turn into a migraine, then I get serious chronic all over body pain, all my joints and muscles will feel just horrible, as if I've been run over by a large truck.. I will get the

I would like to make a note about people cooking for gluten free folks in your usually gluten filled kitchen.. we know you mean well, and we're glad you are trying, but please, don't be offended if we are still reluctant to eat what you are offering. The recipe that mentions toasting bread.. if you stick that gluten

will add to the "freeze, dehydrate, pickle, or otherwise preserve" your bulk foods that you might not get to in time. I've dehydrated mushrooms, garlic, onions, herbs, fruits, what have you.. you can also freeze, though check those, some things freeze better after blanching or sauteing. I also do a lot of canning and

well, he did get some pizza joint experience from his part in Return of the Killer Tomatoes...

i did bento style lunches for my step daughter last summer for her summer job. she loved them and they were really so much easier and healthy then the non-bento style lunches i'm doing right now for her sister and hubby.. they didn't go for what we were doing.. i'm still trying to figure out how to get them more into

well, i've got the 4 dogs.. (we had 5, but one just lost her battle with lymphoma last friday night..) can't do cats as i'm very highly allergic.. in the past 10 years, we've had somewhere around 100 mice over about 5 years, 2 gerbils, a hamster, and 3 other dogs.. and we're a doggie foster home for a local rescue..

seconded.. and i've never been entirely sure when the "change over" was either.. it's not like it's something they announce in the papers or the news or anything.. you don't get a "breaking news story" about a perceived customary increase in tipping rates.. someone might actually sit down and "officially" figure

let me just say.. that can and does happen. pretty closely describes my marriage. things aren't always perfect, cuz, duh.. life rarely is.. and part of our "decision" to do this was due to some outside influence (I was injured in a car accident and have a few medical issues that now make working full time outside the

it still makes a good emergency heater.. though i'd most likely keep it for camping or at home emergencies.. (I live in Alaska and temps of -20 or colder aren't uncommon in winter and power outages are fairly common as well..) though I'd likely use #10 cans as they are easier to come by.. wouldn't be likely to use

i'm also not a "normal".. body weight and shape, yes and lots of other things (in fact, my dx came about because i'd seen a dr phil episode about it ages ago and asked my doc if this might be at least part of what was wrong with me.. hoping it was cuz otherwise i was terrified it was going to be cancer or something..)
