@Lassus: so Rory is the new Duncan Idaho???
@xdeathknightx: the article did mention that he was already 60,000 words into the next book, so we've got at least one more book coming :) and he's written down the outlines for several others so he will remember what he's doing and where the stories are going, so we can try to be optimistic about it all and hope for…
kinda looks like Ranger Marcus from B5.... nothing wrong with that either... heh
@John Aaron Schmidt: yes, but that seems to be about _all_ they have for really good SF anymore...
@Lil Lemoning: there always the option of bringing his daughter/clone back too... after all, we all saw her come back to life...
@SarikaJalope: if your cast iron needs scouring, large salt crystals work great (I usually use pretzel salt cuz I have a ton of it, but rock salt works well too)
@pouncep: not if the airline has FORCED me to pay for 2 seats. no. If I've been forced to pay for 2 seats, by golly I'd better get 2 seats. Airlines generally suggest parents with infants buy a seat for the child as well, just for that kind of thing.
@pouncep: anymore that "spare seat" next to you might be one you darn well had to pay for because the airline decided you were too tall or too heavy to just "get away" with one seat, so darn tooting I'd say no, there is no way they are going to get me to move unless they are then going to refund that extra money they…
@phoenix: we have a huge stack of OLD (and very very small capacity) hard drives in the garage that we've held on to for who knows why... nothing important that we remember anyway, on them, we were planning on erasing anyway and recycling (when we ever get around to it..) but I think now we might have some projects…
@Dacker: also, if you are buying them for kids, teens or husbands who tend to loose them all the time (or break them or let the dog eat them..) the cheaper they are they happier you will be when you have to replace them next week :)
@Inphoarius: there are no noticeable obvious signs for sleep apnea other then not feeling rested and being tired all the time.. which if you're body has gotten use to you may not notice.. I certainly didn't realize I was a sleep deprived as I apparently was.. they test for it by monitoring your brainwaves during your…
@ijustwritebooks: ah.. but blood letting use to be the magic cure all for that sort of thing you know.... :)
@Inphoarius: if they haven't done it yet, you might also want to get a sleep study done.. I had a ton of health problems that it turns out might all be because i have really severe sleep apnea (like over 300 disturbances an hour..) apparently I haven't had any real sleep in years.. once they started me on the cpap…
hubby and i have a notebook which contains all our important information. account addresses, passwords, and other real life information (insurance, child support, etc) in case of emergency. came in handy a few times while he was deployed last year and I needed to access stuff on his behalf.
@blash: wouldn't take too much to modify the plug to the proper current connector... i'm sure there's a tutorial online somewhere... or pester a local electrician... (personally, that is what my husband is for...) but it wouldn't be too much different then making your own lan cables.
@Bastard420: my grandma use to work as a Bell operator way back in the day.. I remember going to her retirement party as a wee child.. didn't really have a clue what she did at the time though...
@benjgvps: we have a simialr problem here in Alaska.. we get great reception on the cell phone when we are out and about (well, ok, we get decent reception, most of the time..) but at home.. nothing. we get dropped calls, fuzzy connections. it's just terrible.. and it doesn't matter which carrier we've tried using.…
@Charlie Jane Anders: yeah, the link for the download, I can't get it to even load or acknowledge the existence of the site.. we might have all killed it it :) temporarily anyway
i can't seem to get the link the the software site to work.. have we crashed it?? :)
I will admit that I actually remember rather liking Krull.. I didn't see it in theaters (summer of 83 I would have been 9.. ) but I saw it later on VHS and I liked it... not sure how well it will have held up though... (I liked Ice Pirates too, but we watched that again a few years ago and it was just awful...)
