In a NORMAL administration, expertise is the primary driver of being a public servant in a scientific position. In the administration he was in, basically all science policies put into effect (or removed from effect) ever WERE “just opinions, man”.

This isn’t the CEO of MyPillow talking. Public policy is built on expertise, which is why he was chosen for the position. Often if we were to wait for “solid facts” to make a policy decision, the window for most effective action is as often gone.
