I’ve been doing a full playthrough of the halo franchise for the first time since before halo 5 launched, and that is always fun to fall in love with old favourites again. Also interesting to see how perception changes.

Halo CE holds up astonishingly well for a nearly 20 year old game. Halo 2's timeline messed up to an

A port machine married to your tv is redundant. A port machine you can use on the toilet...well that’s just beautiful.

My problem with Breath of the Wild is that there’s no pressing reason TO finish. The story is terribly bland, uninteresting, and a complete wash by the time it’s over. The ending was lame, and then it just throws you back into the game immediately afterwards with the castle still under Gannon’s control, as if you

BOTW is one that I fell behind on and just got caught up with life and other games. I know I need to go back and finish it since I love the game.

Marty, you have to come with me.

I need to save this for next time Kotaku feels like making a fuss over the video game industry objectifying women. Good old hypocrisy.

Was the original thumbnail of them looking at each other not getting enough clicks for Kotaku?

Yeah it was certainly easier for me because I hadn’t yet sunk that much money into it; and I managed to get refunds on the last couple of games I bought, which made it easier still.

I quit Steam about a year ago, and wiped my account so I’d never be tempted to go back. I had several reasons for quitting, but in retrospect I can’t believe how much time I spent on gamified store activities. There were of course the summer sale minigames, but also the daily Discovery Queues to get additional trading

yeah I figured this out pretty quickly. It’s basically a big ad for groups. so I just sit on the planet I want the game giveaway on until its done. Gonna totally nab DBFZ

I’m one of the people doing it, and we are generally perfectly aware that what we’re doing is likely pointless outside of the badge. There’s a certain enjoyment of gaming the system I suppose, but admittedly this is nowhere near as interesting as the previous game.

No big company would do anything blatantly illegal behind the scenes that might get exposed later. Just ask Volkswagen.

Seriously, please. I can’t stand building and don’t have the patience, time, or interest to learn (play Switch handheld, like an hour at night).

Plus, at least these castle guys bothered to draw new pictures.

The Fallout Boy art style is so distinct, and it’s a really odd choice for West World. I can’t think of any reason to explain why West World looks like it does other than a copy/paste from Fallout.

Yeah, I could build, but not enough to compete at the endgame, and while H1Z1 is still in early stages, i don’t have to worry about having to fight a guy that could build the freaking Sears building in 3 seconds.

Building is the reason why I quit Fortnite and move on to H1Z1 on PS4 as soon as it launched. I could never get good enough at building so winning a match was extremely rare, even if I made it to top 10. H1Z1, being a traditional shooter, relies more on you actual shooting skills and knowing your sorroundings, and

Rarely do I buy things through Kinja Deals, but I’m happy you guys will be getting a cut for this particular one! Thanks for the heads-up, otherwise I don’t think I’d have been able to grab one!
